Great fight. The 1st 5 round was a snooze fest but those last 7 were great. Fight was super close, in my opinion. The noncall on Tank taking a knee actually saved him because if that's called we're talking about the biggest upset in boxing history.

I'll say this, I'm not too surprised by the outcome. I listened to Lamont's interview on the Breakfest Club and you could tell his previous 2 amateur fights with Tank gave him an edge that other fighters didn't have which is he felt Tank's power before and knew he could take it- to an extent. Another foretell was when Tank was asked his prediction, he predicted a win by unanimous decision which was very telling since he had only gone to decision 2 times prior, everyone else being by KO.

We definitely need and deserve a rematch. Shakur has to wait again.

We also need a rematch of Gary Russell vs. Alberto Puello. Russell got robbed the first time they fought.

Russell looked great tonight and I'd favor him in a rematch with Puello for sure.
 
Had roach winning even without them not counting the knockdown, one of the weirdest things i have seen in boxing. A guy just takes a knee and it’s not a kd, i remember floyd hurt his hand early on in a fight and took a knee and that was ruled a knock down

But besides that this is the best i have seen roach fight, wt first i was like is he really gonna keep walking tank down? Is that the plan? Yep

Tank had his usual slow start, but the difference with this was in other fights when tank hits his switch he gets the guy out or there. This time when he hit his switch roach elevated and started out classing tank imo

Haven’t seen someone slip and counter tank like that, beat tank to the punch, bunch in between his punches like that was super impressive. Maybe him growing up with tank and knowing his tendencies made him comfortable

I will rewatch but I don’t see where tank won 7 rounds. Also for a superstar, supposedly all time great who is at his peak having a draw/loss vs a guy coming up from 130 and was a -1600 underdog i think?? Makes me look at the shakur matchup a little differently

This is a crazy stain on an already weak legacy. Now he needs to fight the too guys in this era even more, he is already 30 and has what zero p4p wins? Has he even unified yet? Tf has he done? People just let the todays superstars get away with anything, him and canelo do a bunch of cherry picking

Roach won the fight ( even without Tank’s knee not being a count) and he is good **** boxer
Tank only has a “great” left hand.. and will struggle as he goes up in weight and dude’s box him & can take his power well.

And after watching that bout, no wonder Tank stays away from the other title holders at his weight and above...

Shakur would EASILY outbox the **** out of Tank and Teofimo would sleep him.
