I really like the hire if it means we are going to increase our international presence, especially with the Samoans, Tongans and Hawaiians - watch a rugby game and there are lots of DEs, DT and OL playing that sport instead.

That said, I’m struggling to understand the “Gator speed” analogy? Was that a typo of some kind?

Guy was hired in off field role to help recruit. Are you questioning the other dozen+ off field role guys? This guy also DOES have proven track record of establishing the poly pipeline it seems like, so what is the issue? You clearly thought he was being hired as a GM of football here, which he is not. He was GM at Hawaii and we got him to take a smaller role to come here. This isn't much different than getting like a G5 coordinator to come be a position coach here ...
