I remember when I was in school it was the beginning of the Jordan shoe era. 1’s were phasing out and I got the 2’s and 3’s when they first dropped. Back then, there were very few kids wearing Jordan’s at my school and it just kept getting bigger and bigger. The difference is, back then you could wear Addidas, K-Swiss, Pumas, etc. and not get clowned on at school. Nowadays, my kids are like, “It’s gotta be Nike or Jordan’s otherwise don’t bother.” It’s stressful out here for a father these days.I don't care for either Nike or Adidas, but the shoes are a big deal to kids. Still, saying they're killing our recruiting makes no sense, as we did pretty well for the last two years even with Adidas. The Branch boys were looking for something we didn't have, whether it be more NIL/Revenue Sharing, a QB (although UGA's returning Sugar Bowl starter doesn't look much better than Emory), a DC, or maybe they are that into shoes that they can't have anything else.
I like adidas since the 80s.. hate the demonic Nike and i think Jordan has milked that cow long enufmy son is 15, he refuses to wear any clothing that isn't Nike, even the socks have to be Nike.
I used to love some K-SwissI remember when I was in school it was the beginning of the Jordan shoe era. 1’s were phasing out and I got the 2’s and 3’s when they first dropped. I have tried several pair of adidas, and none of them have been comfortable. Cant stand themPeople that think the logo on the shoe / jersey doesn’t matter in recruiting is just ignorant. They don’t talk to with younger people. **** it matters with me too. I hate adidas and rarely like their gear. I’ve bought some because I wear Miami gear and I don’t like to cross match my apparel lol. I’m weird like that.
The adidas deal hurts Miami multiple ways but recruiting is a big one.
Try Skechers the most comfortable shoe made they make sneakers also .I have tried several pair of adidas, and none of them have been comfortable. Cant stand them
They look decent, but just do not work for me
gaby on their pod brought it up first thing (they signed a deal with Jordan Brand). that was the first give away that they would not be really considering a non nike school. The Branches were never coming. Somebody on this very board said they were never coming ( not me ) when they popped up on our radar and they were right. Just like the USC qb wasn’t coming. Sometimes you get the girl and sometimes you get used by the girl . That’s the nature of the beast now.
