Give me a break. LOTS of schools are having attendance issues right now, for a lot of problems. The super-conferences (and more quality games more frequently) are an attempt to deal with that (among other reasons).

The "attendance" excuse is bullcrap.

I agree. But a lot of these posters don't understand. You've got dudes running around acting like "oh, but adidas gave us a bigger guaranteed amount (with a lower royalty), thus Miami has to do what's best for Miami". Meanwhile, we've been losing recruits' eyeballs for over a decade.

Not to mention the posters who don't understand that if you have to offer EXTRA compensation to a player who has another deal in place, that is a different kind of "suck tax". It's the "we signed with sucky adidas" suck tax.

But, sure, certain dip****s will accuse me of being a Nike fanboy. Whatever.

People that think the logo on the shoe / jersey doesn’t matter in recruiting is just ignorant. They don’t talk to with younger people. **** it matters with me too. I hate adidas and rarely like their gear. I’ve bought some because I wear Miami gear and I don’t like to cross match my apparel lol. I’m weird like that.

The adidas deal hurts Miami multiple ways but recruiting is a big one.

I felt we wouldnt get KC. I know what we offered and immediately thought two other schools I heard for him would beat it. It was a great offer but some schools pay anything

#1 SOS won 4 top 15 games. Only losses are to 2 top 10 teams and a #16 Ole Miss. Clobbered the ACC Champ. But yeah, let’s talk about the games they struggled to win and call it a downfall. I’m sure you hate to hear folks talk about our close calls too, the irony.
