They keep blaming coach rumph, when our corners havent cost us games since coach rumph has been here. Not sure what all the misinformation and lies about coach rumph keep coming from, he's not the d-co, our corners stay ready and fight all game long!

I agree guys gotta make plays at corner. Two many dropped picks and corners struggling to get off of blocks.

Yea it definitely seems like Manny hasn't been 100% sold on Rumph.

Remember last off season there was the rumor that Manny was moving on from Rumph and then at the last second he retained him.

Wouldn't be at all surprised if Rumph is coaching his last few games for the Miami Hurricanes. It's time

One things for certain, it's hard for corners to get off blocks with all these zone and soft man coverages blake baker keeps calling, he keeps our corners on their back foot for far too long. Anytime a defense is consistently confused, that's because the d-co is in over his head!

My only problem with this fan base is they're not Miami Hurricane fans... They're Manny Diaz fans, Banda fans, and Fans of players. When I speak I speak as a Miami Hurricanes fan. Manny Diaz is the problem. I mean look at this guy resume... Show me the players drafted under him? Show me the guys he actually recruited himself and landed like Urban Meyer did... Show me his defensive Philosophy, and why his Safeties led in tackles every year? His scheme... His scheme set us up to be gashed when we play good teams. His scheme doesn't fit Miami Hurricane Football. From the DL gap play, To the LBs he put on the field, To having our Corners play 10yrds off their Man.

Manny isn't meant for Miami, but since he's Cuban you don't care. Simple as that.

Dude Linebacker recruiting is the worst I've ever seen. If it wasn't for King you would see Manny for who Manny truly is.

You rave over Couch, but Miami slowed played him last Season. Manny Diaz orders... Not Rumph... Although he needs to be fired as well. We also slow played Battle that went to Bama, We let Jaden Davis go, The Maryland Freshman LB, and we just dropped the Miami Northwestern corner... With no Corners committed lol. F

Manny needs to go.

Why? Because I'm a Miami Hurricanes fan.

They let their hate for a Man show more than the facts. Show me a game where the Corners lost the game for us... He only mentioned one. Now show me the games where we got gashed, and our Linebackers who played here for 4yrs couldn't take the right angles to make the tackle. Show me why we haven't set the edge in forever. Show me why our Linebackers look bad in coverage we literally get killed by the TEs. Show me why we're relying on our CBs to get off blocks and make tackles lol. Again where is our LBS... Against good teams no where to be found. Let's pull up a real team like Wisconsin film. That's Manny Defense in a nutshell against good teams. A gimmick.
 
I don't know what our obsession is with tall CBs.

Give me a CB room full of Janoris Jenkins' clones and you've got a spectacular secondary. Shorter, athletic guys that can flip their hips and are willing to tackle.

That's all you need. If that freakish 6' guy wants on board, great, but don't build you entire recruiting plan around height. Not many guys at that size can turn and run - as seen by our two starting CBs.

The fact is, we just haven't had elite cover corners here in a long long time & it impacts every other aspect of the Defense. It's become more glaring because in the uptempo spread era of football we're in now it's even more imperative that have at least 3-4 CB's that can cover & we sadly haven't had that.

The key to improving this Defense is fixing the backend, once we cover better it will give our DL more time to collapse the pocket & allow those delayed Blitzes more time to get home, obviously most of us would rather we stop running them **** Blitzes altogether but we all know as long as Diaz is here that's not gonna happen lol.

With the rumors that Muschamp could be getting fired soon or at least by season's end, Diaz should seriously consider bringing in T-Rob on this staff, aside from his great recruting resume, he developed Jaycee Horn into one of the best CB's in the nation, that's exactly what we need in a CB coach, someone who can both recruit & develop talent.

How about bringing in Muschamp next year as DC? he will obviously want to be a head coach again but he probably will need to serve as a coordinator for 1-2 years to get the right opportunity as a head man. And then let Muschamp bring some staff with him.

No disrespect to your comment but I can’t imagine a kid saying “ he can’t get off of a block because of the defense being played” there are block destruction drills that I’m sure they rep every week on practice. No excuse.

when manny got the job, he wanted to bring the temple DC here to be the DB coach. he was set to come on here as the coach and i believe he got the DC job when manny took the UM job.

has he seen our corners? none of them can cover no matter the d theyre in. its obvious at this point that they dont trust the corners to cover their man and have to prevent big plays (even tho blades and ivey are on weekly competitions to who can be the laziest in coverage)

Wisconsin in the orange bowl the CBs did every throw they were in perfect position but never turned thier head
