The Battle for Broward

This is why we need to retake Broward County:

Another interesting fact: South Florida had more first rounders than the entire states of Texas and California combined:

This is also why more money is spent on recruiting kids from S. Florida than for anywhere else. And I'm not even talking about the bags (yet). That's a whole other pocket of money being spent.

Is that where the football factories are? Do they adjust for highschools that poach kids from around the country? Maybe going to highschool in the state but was born, raised, and family still live in the original state.

Hire recruiters
  • We were never gonna be in play for Bosa.
  • We took Sam Bruce, Ahmmon Richards, and Dionte Mullins. We all thought we were set at receiver.
  • Same goes for LB with Shaq, McCloud and Pinckney.
  • Joe Jackson panned out pretty well for us
Hindsight is always 20-20 but 2016-2018 was recruited pretty well. Our problem has been talent development.

Broward putting out more premium Talent in college football and in the league compared to Dade county. Got to retake this area and make it a focal point

Well we never offered to my knowledge Baker.
Neither did we offer Brown out of Juco.
Bosa was Ohio State legacy.
Bush dad gets job.
BB was only one we didn’t “land”.

I get the point of the post, but I guess more of issue is mid evaluations.

No they're not, the actual numbers is the 3 schools that have the most players in the NFL is MNW, STA & Central.

The most players in the league come from Dade, then Broward, then PB, Georgia, TX & Cali. And if you expand to just college football it's still Dade & then Broward.

Are they truly all Broward kids LCE, or are the numbers a bit skewed because of STA?

Yep. It's dominated by private schools so team-hopping is part of the culture (not that Dade public schools are much different these days).

Like @TheJet305 said, we gotta win to fight off the big dogs.
Also need to do a better job identifying the kids that want to leave for college and the ones really ready to put on for their city

I think OP means premium talent as in 1st rounders this year. Which, I hate to say it, he's right.

Your talking totality and I’m talking recently, look at the draft numbers. They have been putting more premium picks. Look at the recruiting ranks of broward recruits vs Dade recruits. They have had more of the highly rate guys lately in south Florida too
