You talking by position right? In the composite they have 4 in the top 20 and we have 2 even tho those 2 are 5 stars
Here’s the composite. After the top 20 is where they beat us because of the volume from 22-50 starting with Olaus.

When the offer to replace Manny went out and it said Mario we will give you 80 million. If Mario came back and said ok you got a deal but I need to use 1 roster spot for 4 years for my nephew- who shouldn’t really have one but I am all about family. If that news came out nobody who wanted Mario (me included) would’ve cared at all. I would have said take 2 and give one to your neighbors special needs daughter too. Probably won’t play here. But I don’t care either way. I can’t name 65 players on the team. This just gives me one more I know.
And it’s not even for 4 years. I believe Lou is a R-SR so will be one and done

No one's disputing the terrific job Mario did with the OL in Dec., though the portal adds from last year were somewhat underwhelming.

BUT SINCE WHEN DO WE RECRUIT 6' 270lb OL?

And the blowback is just as much directed at board pundits attempts to establish a narrative..."he'll compete with Ryan Rodriguez to upgrade depth at center"..as pointed out by others - that's a pretty darn low bar to aspire to. Guess we should go after low-accuracy qb's, and marginally athletic lb's too - after all, they could upgrade depth at respective positions. Any of those named Cristobal? Somehow I doubt those will be pursued.
Tripp is a center! Lou is scout team we need bodies point blank

And… if it goes well, he learns from Uncles Alex And Mario- stays as a GA and becomes a great recruiter and OL coach. He is loyal to The U after this and it is a win win. You know Mario is going to push his ***.

There is so little downside that the wasted time on the negative is sickening. Bunch of morons.

Such a statement after what I've read from you and others about a player who hasn't even committed here, let alone gotten an offer, just because he is Cristobals nephew, is the biggest piece of irony I will have this year.

Edit: Just saw the name change. Good grief, I should have known...
Gaby is saying he expects us to offer a scholarship and portal spot.

Why am I not shocked that nepotism is applauded on this site? smh. Corruption is gross and apologists are fools. Let Mario take $70K out of his $8M annual salary and pay for nephew's tuition and fees himself. He'd still be making $7.9M+ every year.

I don’t really have a dog in this fight, but I think it’s naive to think the 85 roster spots don’t matter. Every single year, at the end of the recruiting cycle, we are all @ing @TheOriginalCane to get clarification on how many roster spots we have left. If this is a waisted scholly for Mario’s Nephew, than that is one less spot that can be used at that time. I don’t want to be in a spot where we don’t have enough room to bring in a prospect that we like because we gave a nepo-scholly.

Also, I’m not buying the “he can come in and compete for our back up C spot.” Because we just brought in two OL transfers that followed our coaches from Oregon, and all reports out of spring say our backups look like walkons.

You're making too much sense Jax. ... Anyway, I've decided the Cristobal Jr. post was clickbait by @DMoney and @RVACane so @Andrew can earn another $0.0000001 on his popup ads that crash my webpage.

I’m good with the take. Nepotism builds culture. It’s all good. The roster has been flipped to the point that roster spots don’t matter and we fuccin…

Talent is no longer an excuse when you’re battling for the scout team center.
