He needs too he had zero explosion last year even weeks and months after his strain against Florida. His best move was that bullrushbhis freshmen year but I’m sure everyone saw that on tape

Even if he does make that move, don't we want a war daddy? We have Moten, that's it. How big are Scott and Jones right now, 310? Horton at 300? Maybe.

I get we have a lot of talented DL. But after forcing Mesidor to start the whole season at DT last year because we didn't have enough bodies, or the right one, I keep coming back to the conclusion that another NG should be at the top of our portal list.

Yes we need a DT in the spring portal, that’s an absolute given

We always “need” more DL help. All programs do

It’s like baseball and pitching and/or bullpen help. You can never have enough

Tough part of the portal is we will be once again battling the SEC/Oregon/OSU that have priority but now we’ve got a lot of young expensive guys in the mix as well

Not sure how it’s gonna play out. I’d guess we let the position slide like we did with CBs last year and hope for the best. Though I think the position is in a better spot than CB was last year just saying for comparisons how we had to weigh where we allocated resources

Also not saying I agree with it, just my prediction for whatever that’s worth

You could be right. And when we did get a guy I thought would be a monster (Darrell Jackson 3 years ago), he turned out to be "meh". So there's a lot of risk in either direction. I just pray that if we decide to run with the DTs we have now, we aren't kicking ourselves come playoff selection time.

I’m an “upgrade always **** your feelings” type of person but I acknowledge not many programs are in that position right now and we aren’t one of them

Like I loved brown, but Trader and even Carr probably should have been playing over him at the end of the year. I could see one or two of the WRs hitting the portal, so at the end of the day we may need to add two just to have depth. I feel like a lot of times I felt like some of the young guys should have gotten more playing time, especially at the defensive side of the ball (cough cough Lb and safteys)

My theory is that Horton would still be here if Brown had not been signed. Brown started ahead of Horton for half the season despite being out-performed beginning with week 1 at Florida. Not to say that Brown did not offer some value, but starting him over the clearly better and more engaged Horton wound up biting us in the keester.
