any news on us potentially pursuing Sam Okunola (brother of Samson)? I actually think he'd be a great piece at DE (had 5 sacks on the year at Pitt).

My totally unsourced opinion from reading the tea leaves is that we’re battling FSU for Ward.

We have the better o-line and with Wilson and Coleman gone, their skill position isn’t anything special anymore. I’m worried he’s going to put a lot of stock in Jordan Travis’ development.

He wouldn’t even know who he would be playing with next year at fsu

The Bell signing to me makes me nervous about Samson. He can’t sit again or the odds of keeping him are going to be extremely tough. But is the injury one where there’s some risk he may not be ready for Fall or is this just Bell may need more time to develop behind Samson.

Bell needs time to develop too he isn’t plug and play. Wouldn’t be surprised if he took a rs year

In reality, I'm sure they wanted to secure it by this past weekend (yesterday). I also think D$ was being conservative by now stating this coming weekend in an effort to quell all the "are we there yet, are we there yet?" questions. I would not be surprised with an announcement any day now, including today IMO.

With how things went last year, I can't imagine Mario is going to let himself get handcuffed at QB again. Ward will be given the opportunity to commit before anyone else but there HAS to be a legit back up plan. Too much riding on next year for this program to let Emory walk in as the only experienced guy on the roster (assuming Jacurri does indeed transfer like many expect).

With a legit QB we have a shot at the playoff next year. Just need to be ranked top 12, don't even have to win the conference. It's right there to be had as long as the staff doesn't mess the QB up.

Even without JJ this wr haul is impressive. If we can close on ward it will complicate things.....in a good way
