Why do I feel like we are about to be penalized hard in recruiting for dropping a game lmao
I actually think we will get a commit either tonight or in the next 2 days to ease the negativity with a recruit that is silent.
Mario usually tries to keep things positive in bad times. Not that being 9-1 is bad times but certainly people are disappointed right now

Did he missed the block or did the safety the diagnose the play and was able to put himself in position before Markell Bell could get to where he needed to be and put hands on the guy.
Six on one hand, half a dozen on the other! Arroyo taken down for no gain.

The strip sack wasn't on any of the OL. I think at some point the responsibility transfers to the QB to throw the ball or run.

It’s a valid point for sure. Pff doesn’t blame any of our o lineman for a single sack yesterday when GT had 3 or 4.

I’ve disagreed with their grades for NFL for years so im a little skeptical on stuff like that but Bell played a solid game with a couple mistakes.

Yeah PFF is analytics driven so im sure a QB running out of the pocket where his protection is and getting sacked is taken out of whatever algorithm these guys use on OL play. Kind of like a QB not getting their score hit because a WR dropped the ball.

Memnon and the coaches are just totally off when it comes to Markel bell
Hopefully so I just don’t see it at the moment…matter of fact I think our staff hypes our Oline up to much..we are good not great and should be much better..we move no one off the line and when we play against a good Dline they have their way for the most part…

Well you just shifted the convo to something else. You said elite and said you saw 3 NFL players there. That’s not elite. 3 NFL first rounders plus other NFL picks would be elite. You guys place and use these words that just don’t apply all the time.

Now since you want to switch the point of discussion, we can do that as well. We haven’t played any one good yet and against this middling comp our OL has not dominate and therefore hasn’t performed at an elite level either. The best DL we played was against an 1-7 FSU team and they got to Cam consistently.

We have a good to very good OL right now but saying they are elite is utter nonsense.
Quick, name the collegiate offensive line with three NFL first rounders AND other NFL picks. What are we even talking about here? The 2001 Miami OL had exactly ONE dude who went on to the NFL, we are out of our minds poking holes in an excellent offensive line.

It was a sweeping statement based on his statement that the line has 3 NFL players right now but if we are talking elite right now, there are two teams in LSU and Texas. Our OL is very good but not even close to elite right now. We struggled protecting Cam against FSU and in many situations have struggled to push the LOS against inferior DLs. You are entitled to your opinion but your eyes tell you right now that our OL plays is elite/dominant?

Fair. I don't necessarily think that the offensive line is "dominant", but I do think that finding competent OL in college is NOT easy. Texas' OL has allowed 18 sacks (yes, I know it is a flawed statistic) and LSU has one of the worst rushing attacks in the SEC, so I'd have trouble saying that those units are light years ahead of Miami's.

More than anything I think it is worth reminding ourselves that three years ago, our OL was manned by guys who looked like me, now we have real size and competency upfront, which is better than most could hope for.

Sometimes I laugh. Don’t even need to go to other teams boards to see people crap on Miami it happens here. Anyways, best wake badly and the mood will change. I think a lot of the negative stuff is that we lost to a now 6 win GT team and people are worried we are gonna **** the bed down the stretch.

The OL has improved drastically and I don’t think anyone will question that. The issue becomes once again that our fans throw labels that just don’t apply and the term elite gets thrown around here like ***** in Cartagena.

We have been doing this as a coping mechanism for the last 20 years. I argued with a person going into 2022 about our RB WR rooms not being top 10 in the nation as an example.
