Very few offenses are super productive at every…single...position.

I posted this a few weeks back but we may just have to deal with this being more of a WR/RB based offense…Now TE will never be ignored because of Cristobal's affinity for them…And much of it can just be because of Skinner being in the doghouse, Arroyo not back from injury. etc.... Or it could be a real thing overall moving forward. There was one Houston team two year back that had a TE catch about 35-40 balls but the others they were definitely a smaller factor as they were at WVU under the Holgerson/Dawson combo I believe?

So it remains to be seen how much of a factor they will be in this offense eithe annually or whether it will vary by year by year

But I definitely think there's a strong chance we won't be a TE HEAVY offense moving forward. I don't think we will have 75-80 balls caught by all TEs( a big number) and there' s chance that even with Cristobal loving the position we won't carry 6 on the roster. But I think TEs catching 50+ will still be a thing when we get healthy and the guys they like in there (They are using 18 yr old Riley Williams now a decent amount) if I had to guess…and 5 on the roster instead of the Mario-preferred 6. Still a factor, but maybe not as much as some of us want, and likely CMC has preferred in is past offenses.

For instance, barring a Mitchell flip unless it's Amir Jackson (and who knows how hard we even are pushing there), I think we seem to be passing on TE #2 this year's class

We shall see.

this.

whatever the guys can do best will determine what gets emphasized. and that's 100% about coaching.

Just watched the condensed UNC game from last week and there was a comment made during the first half that Maye had completed a ball to 10 different receivers in the game, unreal.

In the GT game, our biggest sh*tshow of an offensive game all year, TVD completed a ball to 8 different receivers.

Same for the Miami (OH) game where 8 different guys caught passes.

He also completed passes to 10 players in the B-C game. Even though in both of MOH and B-C he only played 3 quarters or less

UM has 4 guys with over 20 catches so far this season. UNC only has two.

UM has 13 different guys who have catches. Same as UNC.

Is Maye a good QB? Sure is. Does he spread the ball around? Definitely.

But let's dial it back just a smidge on the idea that there's only 1 WR on the field at a time for UM and TVD.

Sheesh how many RBs Mario tryna have?

Talk about a stacked room..

That room is going to based on what have you done lately.. F how highly recruited you were, or how much NIL we spent on you.

Too much logic will give people a headache when they have a point to make and are insistent to making it, evidence be damned.

Wouldn’t be surprised if that room sees big attrition this off season… Parrish(striking while the iron is hot) and Chaney (finally having a healthy season and running with it)… maybe even Allen leaving again the portal for greener pastures of playing time

Man, if we can keep up this recruiting momentum and add some of these targets we’re going to be a serious problem for college football in the future.
I truly believe the 23 and 24 classes could be the foundation to finally bringing Miami back.

Not only are we landing a lot of blue chips but I also think our evaluations have gotten so much better.
Mario’s recruiting is light years better than under Diaz. It’s not even comparable.
Gotta keep it up, FSU and UF recruiting has picked up as well.
