Bodes well for the incoming freshmen too. We won't be forced to play as many if they aren't ready.
It's going to be hard to keep AJL, Burns, and Carter off the field. This class may be small but they are going to have plenty of talent. Going to be interesting to see who's stepped up with the freshmen who have shirted this year as well.
Completely agree. It's a small class but it's busting at the seams with talent. It's just nice that they won't have to be as forced as this past class was.
Generally, I agree that this class won't be as forced, but there are definitely some that will need to grow up fast and contribute.
Agreed. We won't need the immediate starters as much but we will absolutely need some for depth. There's also quite a few guys that will fight for a starting job as soon as they hit campus. We won't have the EE's this year outside of AJL so far but that didn't seem to matter this year.
I think one of Golden's biggest challenges, not only when he got here, but moving forward, is going to be getting the roster back into balance. There were so many holes, and he was forced to load up on certain positions, especially with the big class last year. If he's not careful, he can find himself in the same situation a few years from now. There's no doubt in my mind though that he's got a plan and is implementing it.
