It’s going to be interesting how it plays out. I definitely see him transferring at some point and have a real culture shock like you said. That kid is a puppet and nothing more. Hope those pulling his strings put him in the best place for success in life when they tell him that he has a voice of his own. Seems like he is going to be miserable in Colorado once he has a chance to experience life there.
I personally love visiting as I have relatives in Denver and Boulder and have a home to go to in the mountains to go skiing. But you think this kid is going to dig the hippie vibe in Boulder in the middle of negative degree nights? Is he going to hike the front range in his off time or dig the culture? I give it until late January of 2024 before he realizes how badly he messed up. By then he may have found his voice (but probably not).
Sure, but it's like saying Call Her Daddy is/was barstool...like technically yes it was, but not really.Ehhh I don’t know. Million dollars is one of barstools biggest podcasts and a leading podcast for its market. Dave found them and gave them an opportunity and both sides are very fond of each other. I’d recommend listening to the episode they have him on as guest.
Post of the ******* day
So has Gaby earned enough credit for that move to not get **** on constantly for being "against Miami" or whatever? Like was that a move Miami wanted him to make and he complied (to his benefit of course)Correct. I only post what I know or info I’m confident in. After ESD I posted Colorado was a legit threat even though I laughed at that a couple weeks before. I also said they had somebody on staff very connected to Lakeland and close to the Mcclain situation. Said coach was bragging about getting CM to push his decision back.
Later on I posted I didn’t like where it was trending but Imo it wasn’t over. Btw respect to @STG , he flat out said he wasn’t coming. I heard that as well but with all the bad info with this recruitment the last six months I wasn’t comfortable being that definitive. The Miami staff believed it was still going to be UM. The longer this played out the harder it got to read , not just for UM but even people close to the recruitment. Another red flag in long list of them.
Like anything there’s more to the story and Miami could‘ve handled some things better but Imo this kid wasn’t coming after he didn’t sign that Friday. He was literally telling kids at LHS “he wanted to shock everyone”. The staff and Gaby blew that up though.
I’ve never gotten the distain. So has Gaby earned enough credit for that move to not get **** on constantly for being "against Miami" or whatever? Like was that a move Miami wanted him to make and he complied (to his benefit of course)
The Miami Curse will always be lurking for young Mr. McLain.Good luck to Cormani. If he felt he made the best decision for himself, tough to argue against that. The entire recruitment from the moment he announced to Miami was bizarre. He’s also a bizarre kid. The only beef I have with him is how he used Miami to drum up drama for his eventual decommitment. He’s out there flashing the U everywhere, wearing gear like he’s all ‘Cane and then he does some corny ***, weird *** commitment video with Colorado which he knew he was going to do all along. The dude acts all shy and secretive but had no trouble trolling the **** out of the program. Not a good look for anyone from his camp.
What about all the time and money the staff spent on his recruitment when if he wasn't a POS that money/time could have been spent elsewhere? What about all his bull**** that took the oxygen out of the room for the top recruiting class we've had in the 247 era? What about all the time and money spent by Ruiz and the other Miami NIL groups? What about the young reporter from Canesport that drove 4 hours to talk to the skinny little ***** who then blew him off?Good luck to Cormani. My quality of life and outlook is completely independent of what happens to Cormani and his future. At the end of the day he acted like a clown but he’s also a kid. He should own up to that some day, but I don’t think it’ll happen in the near future. If he ends up a grave digger or an All-Pro doesn’t affect me one way or the other. What about all the time and money the staff spent on his recruitment when if he wasn't a POS that money/time could have been spent elsewhere? The **** slobbering and well wishes from supposed Canes fans here is pathetic. He handled his recruitment like a clown instead of a man so **** him and I hope he ends up working as a grave digger. Odds are against him considering there is a long list of dip****s that acted like this and karma caught up to them.
Who said anything about anyone's quality of life being associated with Cormani? Just a bizarre tangent you went on.My quality of life and outlook is completely independent of what happens to Cormani and his future. At the end of the day he acted like a clown but he’s also a kid. As far as feeling bad for Ruiz or the Canes staff? I think they’re making out alright lol. This is the game these multi millionaires signed up for. I’d be embarrassed as a grown *** man wishing some teenage kid the worst.
Not a bizarre tangent at all. You’re wishing the kid becomes a “grave digger.” Assuming you mean that to be a lack of success. Lol. Why? What’s it to you?Who said anything about anyone's quality of life being associated with Cormani? Just a bizarre tangent you went on.
There are finite resources in any business and if those resources (time/money/etc) are wasted then anyone with any competitiveness and/or business sense would be ****ed off. If I drove four hours to meet with someone and they blew me off (Izubee Charles of Canesport and then the entire defensive staff) I'd want to a) kick that persons *** and b) hope karma catches up to them really quickly.
You're wishing him "good luck" .... **** that.
So I guess your strategy is if someone does something wrong but didn't do it directly to you you're fine with it? UM likely wasted six figures on the clown. Bold strategy Cotton. Not a bizarre tangent at all. You’re wishing the kid becomes a “grave digger.” Assuming you mean that to be a lack of success. Lol. Why? What’s it to you?
Did he use up your personal funds and was it you who made the 4 hour drive?
I do wish the kid well. He clearly needs to mature and the people around him seem to be controlling a lot of his “decision.” He acted like a fool. There’s no debating that. If the Canes ever play Colorado I hope the Canes embarrass the **** out of them. But I’m not going to wish ill will on a young kid, just that he matures and learns a few lessons. Calling him a pos is just weird to me.
I would’ve liked him to have been a Cane. But I’m not invested enough to say I hope he doesn’t succeed in the future. Would it make a difference if UM only spent $1 on his recruitment? Would you still feel the same way? So no, Im not ok with how he handled it but I’m not gonna let that get in the way of what he can be 10 years from now. I work with inner-city kids so I look at it differently. Kids can be real ******** but most of them will be better people down the line.So I guess your strategy is if someone does something wrong but didn't do it directly to you you're fine with it?
