Could someone explain making derogatory comments regarding prospective recruits? Like...why?

your a cane fan. you like cane fans. get 5 cane fans together, good convo is likely. get 10-15 together, you are bound to have 1 or 2 out of those that are still cane fans, but they are also ignoramus's. **** happens, have to weed through it. He was a 2 star coming out of high school signed with North Texas didnt make it in

I'd love to know where Cortez Kennedy was rated coming out of HS. I followed recruiting pretty closely back then, subscribed to all the newsletters, and honestly, I knew nothing about him when we got him out of junior college. It could be he was a good prospect coming out of HS, but I overlooked him. I had never heard of him or read about him. All I knew is, this overweight DT arrived in school for the '88 season. I used to see him playing a bit as a backup. I used to hear that the coaches tell him he could be a stud if he lost weight. Well, the next year, he was the best DT in college football.

For all I know, he wasn't even rated coming out of HS. And I have no idea if he signed with anybody before going Juco.

You never know...

The issue(I don't really see it as issue) is total where 85 is concerned, not the number per year. People don't know who will qualify, who on the current roster is about to leave. Worrying about numbers is silly.

i'm not worried about the numbers. I'm worried that if Brooks commits it means that at least one of Bryant or Bostwick is out. We are simply not going to take 4 DTs in this class.

You didn't include Kerr which would make 22. If space is needed, space will he made. It always works out.

Correct. It is about total because of sanctions and we're signing less than 25. I wouldn't worry bc we have little info.

Kamalu isn't a traditional DT. He can play it in situations, but it probably isn't what he'll be asked to do the majority of the time. Strong, edge-setting DE.

Cortez Kennedy was a JUCO lineman .Went to Northwest Mississipi . Now in Hall of Fame in NFL. Easier to project a JUCO than a high school DT recruit.

hopefully we can ask players like David Perry and Asante Cleveland to just move on for there senior years to another school. Also, something about this Kerr kid makes me feel like he is expendable.
