Lol I know, just had to add that...BUT let me ask you this.... What can't he do that McCloud can???3-4 olb aint the same as playing ilb in a 4-2-5
It’s part of our game because we need it so much. Most schools rarely use it or rely on it like we havePartially true but these transfers are now part of the game so I wouldn’t complain about it
As odd as it sounds I think we are ahead of the game with this, just like we where with signing most of our early class on first signing day. We are quick to jump on new phads but it’s our ****** staff and recruiting at some positions that slow us downIt’s part of our game because we need it so much. Lol Martin blast from the pastHere's a couple of my old writeups on Johnson. Have always been a big fan, although I thought he would grow more into a DE/DT tweener.
From February 2016:
- Excellent balance and coordination. Plays under control. Was stabbed in his chest at school by his girlfriend but has since recovered. Not a freak athlete but a really good football player.
From December 2016 after Southridge/Deerfield Beach game:
- I'm a DeAndre Johnson (2017) fan. He lived in the backfield and rocked Nick Holm on several occasions. I would like us to keep Johnson on the radar at DT. He's better than Tyreic Martin and we need depth.
I noticed a ton of succes with taking small, athletic DTs and making them Jack Bakcs or Strongside Ends. Diaz should make the move with Blissett. Here's a couple of my old writeups on Johnson. Have always been a big fan, although I thought he would grow more into a DE/DT tweener.

You're right.... But I was just making a point based on another thread. Wouldn't Phillips have been better at LB than McCloud? Lol I'm just saying that's how weak we were. Not a LB in our scheme. Same way Phillips wasn’t but played it for UCLA
I’d probably agree with u at DE.Glad to have him, but he's a downgrade from Phillips/Roche for sure. Defensive line next year will be weaker than this year from a talent perspective.
He'll fit right inHad a UT fan say he was their sack leader over let couple years, but not to get too excited. Tends to make dumb penalties at the worst time.
Time will tell.
Maybe DE but we should have our best DT depth in as long as I can remember. Plus give Harvey, Chantz and Cam a spring and someone will pop.Glad to have him, but he's a downgrade from Phillips/Roche for sure. Defensive line next year will be weaker than this year from a talent perspective.
Our best players are transfers developed elsewhere.. Should just load up..Exactly! We’ve brought in 4 transfers in the last few years...so are we not able to develop what we have??
I’d probably agree with u at DE.
But at DT, we might be more talented (LT coming in) and more experienced (with what we have hopefully coming back)
Partially true but these transfers are now part of the game so I wouldn’t complain about it
On the ends, interior should be good.Glad to have him, but he's a downgrade from Phillips/Roche for sure. Defensive line next year will be weaker than this year from a talent perspective.
Agree, but we needed another body at DE.You have to work really hard to get excited about this.
