Rumph could've known everything. Its up to Kool, Searels and Richt to make that decision on how to offer.

The best DLine coach in the country wouldn't get a say on who gets an offer to come play for him? Bull****. We've done it in the past. We promised Allen Bailey he'd be an LB and gave him a "chance" to play Lb and then switched him. Other schools do this all the time and Miami shouldn't be retarded about it.

you realize bailey isn't from south florida...it matters where the recruit is from. if we lie to a local recruit, we get killed locally by coaches and handlers.

LOL it has nothing to do with lying to him. Let him try to play DT. Then tell him he sucks and is getting moved. You guys make up all these dumb reasons Miami can't do the same **** UF is doing as if UF won't be recruiting American Heritage any time soon.

That's why it's called "recruiting". It's your job to entice them to come to your school..regardless where there idea is and where they want to go. It is something he currently sucks at. It's typically ALOT easier when you previously coached a kid and worked with a kid DAILY for some of them 3-4 years previously. Except for........his *** lol. I can laugh at it because I knew when Richt hired him..why..and what he thought he was getting..and I KNEW he wouldn't pull kids and have pull in the county like that and you can check old threads of me saying such. He essentially is a GA on coach's salary..because he is learning on the job. Hopefully he improves...but it's quite comical for us to be the only school to hire a high school guy that CAN'T bring in his own players...and we have fans looking for excuses for it. I mean we haven't even been in a legit top 3 for any heritage kids

Richt got 3 players from heritage at uga. Maybe would have got burns if he didnt get fired. Burns didnt even have interest in miami once richt was hired but was considering playing for him at uga. Richt is at miami now and in the year he has been here he hasnt been able to get 1. Doesnt that seem odd?

We're also the only major program who gets their offer treated like trash by local kids, Heritage or not. Only major program who is urged to take lesser talents by the people in the area while their high profile kids leave or commit to Miami as a placeholder. It is interesting how people will readily acknowledge that South Florida recruiting is different than anywhere else but expect the Heritage kids to fall in line and go to Miami because their coach got hired with the reasoning that "it's typically alot easier when you previously coached a kid."

So recruiting in South Florida is different than anywhere else but in the Rumph/Heritage case it should be exactly the same as everywhere else? Got it.
