Team Olsen and crew won the 7 v 7

7 on 7 is ***. Not football. It's tag, so yeah, some shifty tiny HS kids could beat men at a game of tag.

Must not be familiar with The Opening held on Nike's campus. Now the opening between your boyfriend's *** cheeks, another story.

I don't care about The Opening. I'm not a mark for Nike's hype. 7 on 7 is a playground for scumbags like Genitalron looking to pimp kids.

Your insulting comments about my boyfriend are unnecessary and hurtful. It's not the sort of dialog that belongs on this fine forum.

That's cool. At least you can admit having no clue about 7/7. The rational behind it is a little hilarious. You sound like a hipster claiming you won't fall victim to a big corporation's hype machine.
7/7 for high school football is like AAU for basketball. It's huge and a big part of recruiting these days.

I'm very well-versed on 7 on 7. And that's exactly why I know what it is and why I don't like it. Thanks for helping make my point, though, about it being akin to AAU, which is a breeding ground for the scumbag pimps.

Not surprised you're very well-versed in a sport you deemed "***".

LMAO. People point out Brady, Manning, Bortles, McCarron etc as proof you don't need to be mobile. What about the other 99% of CFB. BTW Mccarron and Bortles both are like 4.85 guys, they have decent speed. If you aren't mobile, you have to be elite in the other areas in todays game.

Having speed and being "mobile" are two completely different things. Stephen Morris ran a **** 4.63 at the combine, faster than Johnny Football at a 4.68. JM plays a 100 times faster than Morris and is considered much more mobile. Feeling/Anticipating pressure, some speed, great footwork…that's what makes someone mobile to me.

Whether or not it's big in recruiting or huge is irrelevant to the discussion. It doesn't compare to aau BBall in the sense that aau at least resembles real basketball (5 on 5, game situations, etc), whereas 7on7 is just playing tag and has no semblance of a real game. So, kids that do it all year and summer long will most likely have an advantage over a group of older kids that only do it sparingly.

They don't do it all year. Where do you get that idea from? These are rising seniors in high school.

Yall are really saying the other teams had nobody else gtfoh you haters will try anything to discredit this kid duke johnson herb waters denzel tracy Deon bush jamal carter Philip Dorset **** the list goes on olsen had nothing but young guys on his team bol you people act like some cry baby ****es

I maintain my point. If a team with 2 walk ons, a couple of jags so far, a couple of incoming recruits and an inconsistent QB wins, it says more about the other teams.

Or, the inconsistent QB got it together and kick the crap out of superior teams. We really don't know. We only know he won. I'll take that at this moment, because that is ALL is want from the QB at THE U --- WIN.

7on7 is good for schools to practice timing, route running, the familiarity of playing with each other, and to get an idea of what works against different coverages.

Now when you get players from different schools to create all star teams that travel around the country is when the idea of 7on7 gets a little bit ridiculous.

The explosion of 7 on 7 is part of the reason QBs are developing at a ridiculous rate. Im not sure how much you can take from the rest of the players tho.

Way to miss the point. The point is they do it all the time when they are not in season. And there's a lot more emphasis placed on it in HS than in college. Are we really arguing this?

Good Lord...I simply brought up the comparison because I think the talent level of the all-american 7/7 teams is probably right on par with our skill guys. That's all.

By the way…when you say, "kids that do it all year," that's usually how someone is going to interpret it.
