I dont expect Zipperer and never did to be honest. Wanted Wydermeyer whom we lost to TX A&m (where he was leaning most of the cycle)

Word is we might double back on Rahmod Smith. I'm not a fan of him as much but he looked solid this year for Homestead. Are there any guys you guys like that we should go after?. Like D money i liked the Snyder kid from Duval. But there's a few other i would tab nationally. We are TE U not some run of tthe mill program recruiting TE's we can flip te's from all over the country and have a sniper that recruits at that position.

My first guy i like is a WR in high school with a big frame whom can grow. Likely 6'5 215 right now. Plays at a power house program in Ohio
Trevon Morgan

Rahmod Smith- 6'5 205-210

Kamari Morales- 6'3 230- Tallahasee Lincoln- UNC Commit. Kid can definately play here for us..or be a thorn against us

Nikolas Ognenovic- 6’5, 232, 4.88* (Cardinal Gibbons)- Big in-line TE with deceptive receiving skills. He doesn’t look athletic running around, but he knows how to use his body and catch the ball against top competition. Flashes upside as a blocker. Strong measurables. Lot to like as a complete TE prospect. Kentucky commit.

I REALLY REALLY Like Morales and Morgan. Morales is Brevin Jordan lite. Any guys you guys know post them...then lets flood Hartley lol

I don't mind Rahmod Smith, just won't be ready for 2 years. Pretty fluid and nice frame. Needs weight, and to get faster.

Yeah, I was pleasantly surprised with Smith’s senior video.

He showed some upside as a junior but he looks a lot quicker and cleaner this year.

Chess move, get a kid where there are some top notch guys available for next year. Plant them seeds

Would be nice to get a TE but to be fair we do have 3 good ones coming back (including Irvin) who will all be here for another two years.

We need to double down on OL and maybe even get hartley one of our best recruiters on the trail for OL.

Rahmod Smith is a 13th percentile athlete. Slowest 40-yard dash among verified times for '19 TE's. He's actually tied for dead last in my database for his short-shuttle time. A very linear athlete.

Peers include Larry Hodges (name we know), Kedrick James (Alabama), Jamal Pettigrew (LSU).

James has zero career receptions and Pettigrew has one (last year). Both are blocking TE's only. That's what his athletic profile looks like.

Found this kid looking at Juco options.

Zech Byrd- 6'7 260 in his bio. Dude was supposed to sign with the Gators in 2017 after getting recruited by a bunch of other SEC/P5 schools in high schools but went the JUCO route. At Garden City CC broke his foot last season and red shirted last year. This year only had 2 catches all season. Could try him at OT if TE doesn't work out.

As a sneak peek, here is what I've built. I have found a higher correlation in the total standard deviations of each combine workout event than just the percentile of the SPARQ score, for what it's worth. That's why, even though Hodges is barely ahead of Smith, I feel Hodges profiles FAR better than Smith.

Hodges is a 15th percentile athlete, but his total standard deviations are actually positive at 0.98, which is HIGHLY unusual for a player with his SPARQ score (you'd expect a 50th percentile athlete to have roughly ~0 total standard deviations etc.). Smith totals -4.51, which profiles with the very dregs of the entire group.

Makes no sense to me to recruit 2 TE's with +5.0 40's. You don't build offenses around TEs with those measurables. Since they won't help a ton on special teams with the lack of speed and neither is a big body blocker, you might as well save the spot for another position and utilize more spread.

OR - find some athletic freak who's a project TE but has the measurables that make coaches drool.

Stop tripping! We just recruited two of the top TEs last year, and both should be able to play in bowl game. Just need to get 2 in 2020! The problem is offensive scheme...not qb Rb wr or OL!

Lol nah, the problem was def qb play...Offensive scheme doesn't get a pass, but if you don't think QB play was bad most of the time, awful others...And that WR/OL both need some help too. Not sure anyone can help you.
