Klare is a beast as a vertical te

Out of the current portal Collin Webber if he is cheap which he should be i would bring him in on a visit.

He had 50 catches the last two years no tds though.

if not they have to be tampering to get someone in the fold because it slim pickings currently in the portal.

We have the following on our roster right now:

Jackson Carver
Elija Lofton
Brock Schott
Luka Gilbert
and a few other PWO types

Our TEs totaled 52 catches last season combined for the position (Arroyo, Lofton, WIlliams, McCormick). 3/4 of those guys are gone. I have little to no faith in Carver as he hasn't sniffed the field in two seasons. Lofton is a stud. Schott and Gilbert are true freshmen. I can see Lofton picking up quite a bit of those 52 catches, with at least one of the other three contributing in some way (ahem, blocking). If we can't find a really solid experienced dude, I'm a pass on the portal.

Looks like a pretty big and athletic kid from some of the highlights I’ve seen. Might have been underutilized at Tulane and could thrive in a system like ours
hes a flex guy im not sure on his inline blocking. He had 7 tds this year so i tdont think he was under utilized.

But athletically though smaller he seems to be more of a threat than Riley Wiiliams. Riley is kind of stiff in his route running though a big body that can run pretty solidly.

They better offer this kid and lock him in before many offers him 4 mill

Coming back to this i think Williamas is reallys crewing himself...at worse with just a solid szn here hes a mid rd te selection....not sure what he is/was expecting or if ppl were tampering (im sure) and offered him more money and he is running for that. But it feels like a kid spiting himself soooo.

I had high hopes for carver

I thought he was a reach. I believe he was a La crosse commit for ND before heading to Coral Gables for football, which is weird. I’m not knocking him, La crosse, you or anyone else who had high hopes for him. He just seemed like a big body athlete rather than a football player. I hope he succeeds but the hourglass is getting lower on sand.

Good, not great. Expected more. Very good blocker with soft hands. He'd have a great game with 2 TDs and great blocks sealing the edge, and then you'd forget he was on the team for 3 weeks. If you're looking for someone to replace Arroyo, he's not it. If you're looking for a solid TE, it could be him.

His blocking was one of the better parts of his game, especially for someone his size.
