TE Beau Sandland is..

I see a lot of people stating how they hope the TE gets more touches this year. Walford was second on the team in receptions last season with 34. In comparison, Shockey, during the 2001 NC season, had 45 receptions (led the team). We actually use the TE quite a bit in the passing game.

Sandland has been a bust so far.

6-6 260, 4.6 speed, but couldn't beat out Asante Cleveland.

Show us something Sandland.

That's not on Sandland....that was Golden favoring a senior again. The little time that Beau got to see on the field and was ACTUALLY TARGETED BY SM17, he made the play. He's hard to bring down and likes contact. I expect him to be a beast this year for us, and a strong contender for the Mackey award. I think he and Williams will have great report.

Lol if you don't think Sandland is / was better than Cleveland the minute he stepped on the field I'm not sure you can be helped... He's a pass catching TE, who needed to earn the trust of the coaches and develop as a blocker. In my opinion he should've started last year over Walford.

^^^^^ exactly.

Sandland is doing so well that apparently his name has transformed into a cuss word.

We back.

SMH at some of the posts in this thread.

Having two TEs like Walford and Sandland is great depth. Who gives a **** which of the two might be better? And now we just might have a QB that will look to feed them both.

Laugh all you want.

At the end of the day, he couldn't beat out Cleveland and that's all that matters.

Sandland was the #1 TE in the 2013 cycle and has failed to live up to the hype so far.

Boom! Everyone cant be Shockey. He prob had to learn that blocking was a pivotal part of his job in this offense and he definitely wasnt use to doing that in JUCO I bet. Now that he has that year under his belt, I expect big things from him.

Plus it seems like Ryan Williams REALLY liked to throw this guy the ball when he had a chance last season.

He's still a bust up to this point.

It's not on Sandland?

Sandland said himself last season it was a challenge adjusting to the speed and physicality coming from juco.

This nonsense again? Is this sarcasm? Sandland also couldn't beat out the long snapper.

It's the truth.

Juco recruits that highly rated like Sandland are supposed to make an immediate impact. Not sit behind a perennial JAG.

Williams and Beau have worked together all year on the 2nd team. They will have a good connection.

Beau Sandland will be one of the beneficiaries of having a QB that is capable of progressing past his first read.
