That's not what "poor man's version" means. For example, you could say Malik Rosier was a poor man's Jalen Hurts. Played the same style game, only Malik was a slower, weaker, less accurate version.

If you want to say Martell is Manziel without the college experience, that's one thing. To say he's a poor man's version means he is a less talented version. Maybe he is, but that remains to be seen.

His high school football team was full of 4/5 star players - don't think he made players around him better, think players around him made him
look better. Manziel made TAM, don't know if Martell can carry a team.
