T.J Jones

Haven't looked at his tape. What are his strengths? Does he have any elite traits?

Lake City Columbia always has a good team and was a panhandle feeder school for the longest time and they produce good ball players for the most part. The kid that Donk flipped from USF their first cycle here that flipped to UT was from Lake City. Latrell Williams or something. It's an area Donk knows well.
He's the type that every offensive player loves. He blocks, makes contested catches, goes across the middle, makes short and intermediate catches and breaks tackles to get every yard possible. He's the one type of wr that we lack right now who N'Kosi and the next future qb would see as a safety blanket day 1

I do not see us taking 3 wrs this cycle (counting richards as an athlete). We took 4 last year and have a few already committed for ‘20, and have major needs elsewhere, and given new LOI rules will struggle to sign > 25.

To be clear, I like this kid and see him as a take. Not sure they’ll take his commitment until Haselwood decides, however.

This is going to sound like one of those long-winded stories but I’m pretty sure I remember seeing on maybe ‘Gator Tears’ that the Florida 247 were discussing him and someone close to the situation (yes, I know) said ‘he’s all Miami, if they wanted him he’s theirs’. Take him

I’d take this kid with Payton. Then continue the full court press on jadon. Either way we got 2-3 studs coming in.

you take him 100% and then literally throw the farm at Haselwood and if all 3 want in, you take all 3 and don't even think twice, if we miss on Haselwood then we still have 2 very good players.

I understand next year numbers and the talent that next years class has but NEVER EVER turn down talent right now!

This right here. We've been burned by the "next class" not working out too many **** times.

It all has a way of working itself out, just take ballers. That's what Bama does.

Honestly I would Take Jones

Go all in for Haselwood and Rosemy

Keep watch on the Brantley Kid from Da West

And then start the push for Brooks from Booker T.

kid is tough and brings an added dimension to the wr corps. Get him and f next year. Numbers work out..im at the point where i want guys transferring out for lack of pt. Thats when you know chips are stacking
Thts ok but only if it happens at multiple positions. If you only getting guys transferring out at WR that doesn't mean you stack chips that just means you wasted schollys on a position that u didnteed to waste them on. However, I dont agree with looking forward to next year. Next year isnt guaranteed. WE could end up with 4 or we could fail on the field and end up with none. Take them as you need them.

Richards is not a WR. He will either play db or rb here.

He called UF boring on an ig live with Summerall one time

I made it clear that he was an athlete. Where he will end up, time will tell. Doesn't matter for the purposes of this discussion. Just clarifying I'm *not* counting him in the comment I made on WR count.

IM IN THE GROUP THAT TAKES HIM REGARDLESS OF HASELWOOD. With the new rules of redshirting and how we rotate wrs its not a bad look...plus its opens us up at a former FSU stronghold area somewhat

No, numbers don't just "work out." This is how roster balance becomes an issue. Not saying we should or shouldn't take this kid, but this whole board's philosophy of just "stacking chips" and disregarding positional balance is silly.

If the staff only takes two WRs this year I'm fine with it, as 2020 has WRs everywhere & there will be many we don't get becuase it's so good. If qwe end up taking 3 this year it won't be about just "stacking chips," the staff will have looked at overrall roster balance.

We legitimately have wr's with the talent to leave early...Not sure of all the positional balance talk..but at wr with the talent were bringing in we have nfl talent (ahmon richards was expected to come out) and could have attrittion. I dont even think we hit the correct number of schollies yet.
