Any word on how this kids recruitment is going? Would we take a commitment from him if he was ready to pull the trigger?

Our WR board
Committed: J Payton

Targets
1. Haselwood
2. T.J Jones

Richards would be above Jones and probably 1b with haselwood but are we still focused on him playing D?

If we get Haselwood we should pass, if not I'd say 50/50, our wide receiver corp is deep right now

Take him no matter what. Stack chips

I agree. I feel like this kid doesn't get any hype. So I'm wondering if its just a board thing or if this is because the staff hasn't made him a priority. Watching his tape I'm really high on him.

If we get hasselwood i dont think we will take him. Considering we have 3 highly rated guys for 2020 and possibly a 4th in Rosemy

Haven’t watched any of their tape yet, I only really follow recruiting of the year that signs.

What I do like is having a talented freshman on the team over waiting for a potentially more talented guy whose not currently on the team.
That’s an excuse. If you’re taking or want to take more talented guys the following year, you recruit to have the spot open for them. You don’t take a guy when you need the numbers somewhere else unles he’s literally a can’t miss guy. That’s how a roster becomes too heavy and how attrition happens.

It’s simple. If Haselwood comes then you stick with 2 elite WR. If not, take Jones. Take 4 studs next year with Rosemy being the 4th.

IM IN THE GROUP THAT TAKES HIM REGARDLESS OF HASELWOOD. With the new rules of redshirting and how we rotate wrs its not a bad look...plus its opens us up at a former FSU stronghold area somewhat

We've learned our lesson that next cycle's leans are never a guarantee. This kid is good and wants in. Take him all day.
I 100% agree. You don’t pass up elite talent. It will be necessary to have a couple WRs blossom into playmakers with AR done and Jeff likely gone next year. It’s better not to have to rely on any true frosh. All you have to do is listen to Richts PC today to hear that from the horses mouth.

With the Richards news, I'd take him regardless of Haselwood.

While I have a lot of faith in Dugans, there are never any guarantees with the next cycle so take the talent while its available

Haven't looked at his tape. What are his strengths? Does he have any elite traits?

Lake City Columbia always has a good team and was a panhandle feeder school for the longest time and they produce good ball players for the most part. The kid that Donk flipped from USF their first cycle here that flipped to UT was from Lake City. Latrell Williams or something. It's an area Donk knows well.
