Synopsis of Jobe-Frierson visit from today

Staff needs to drop frierson. Talk is he might be going to uga again this weekend.

I hope not. We didn't drop Frank Gore when he went to Ole Miss. I know people view Frierson as a Corner, but I think he has star potential at Safety. You have to ride the rollercoaster for those types.

Was gore visiting ole miss every weekend? Word is frierson has even been taking secret visits up there.

Only reason Gore visited Old Urine was because UM was dycking around with the idea of not admitting him. He had a learning disability.

I wrote after spring ball that I was hearing from a few different people that Miami Top247 cornerback commit Gilbert Frierson wasn't as solid on his pledge to the Hurricanes as he was making it out to be. That's still the case. Yes, the Coral Gables standout was on campus last week for an unofficial visit, but he also returned to Athens over the weekend and was apparently talking up the Bulldogs to a number of other recruits. Read into that however you want, but I think it will be a telling sign about where he visits this weekend because some connected to his recruitment believe that he will make his way back up to Georgia for another visit and pass on Paradise Camp.

Which means what? That he may go to UGA? It happens. Still not a sufficient reason to stop recruiting him altogether... unless there's more to the story (like trying to take guys with him).

guys like to ignore the obvious signs for whatever reasons. after he had his come to jesus meeting with some alums and richt last week and he's still making trips up there, whether secret or not is telling.

Guys like to ignore the obvious signs? Nah. It's just not that big of a deal either way and no reason to make an emotional decision. You don't drop 17 year old star prospects for acting like 17 year olds. He does something to work against us and our coaches don't think the juice is worth the squeeze anymore? Move on. This is a business.

I don't advocate dropping Frierson unless he's doing dirty recruiting against us. But if you guys think he's "just enjoying the process" then you're suckers. You "enjoy the process" by visiting multiple places; you don't keep going back to the same well repeatedly.

If he skips Paradise, then he'll likely be decommitting soon. Pretty simple.

You're mischaracterizing what Pete did. The info changed. It wasn't bad info when Pete reported it. There's loads of smoke here, man. Either you see it, or you're trying not to see it.

Sounds about right. I came to this thread merely to state your first sentence. The rest will be what it will be.

I'm not going get too concerned over Frierson leaving to UGA because we can't control it and I've always believed he is a better Safety prospect than Corner. We have backup plans at Corner who may end up better college players at the position. If we lose Frierson and Jobe, then I'm wondering about our backup plan at Safety (assuming Hall sticks, otherwise we need 2 more Safeties). Too early in the recruiting process, though. I trust this staff to know if they're getting worked over by a guy recruiting against them.

If this kid flips on us then, he's just trolling us, which would be incredibly dirty given his relationship with the staff and Frank Gore connection. That's what makes me think he's just playing the game and will be a Cane. I can't imagine this kid would pull a dirty move like that.

I believe that he's purposely keeping it on the hush. The UGA 247 guys def know about this.

CMR and staff spent many years in the SEC ... they didn't just roll into town having fallen off the turnip truck. they've seen the games, the bags, and whatever snot can be blown in any direction.

if they are getting played, I GUARANTEE you they understand exactly what is happening, and are two steps ahead. if they are not getting played? well, then they know that too.

either way, I trust CMR and his staff 10X more than I do the assclowns from the Golden shower days.
