Surtain Sr. on Joe Rose 2/8

I believe in Rumph. Our DB class is awesome...best in years

It’s definitely our best dB class in years but it could have been a bit better. Only difference is this time we had locked up a good class at db before those guys decision but we just didn’t close on 2 of the 5 elite dbs in south Florida this year. But having the guys we do have lessens the blow alittle.

You could sneeze and your snot would likely land on a 4* DB in south florida this year. I give the staff very little credit for landing the DB class that they did. One of them is a Blades. Where was he going to go? FSU?

If he truly believes that rumph is a great developer of talent why didn't his son want to play for him?

Bingo. I call horse****. Either say he isn't good enough to coach my son up, or Saban offered "US" something we couldn't pass up.

UM

This is just stupid. What do you think that Saban could offer a guy who made millions playing in the NFL? Both Campbell and Surtain made the decision that they were better off being coached by Georgia and Alabama, rather than Rumph, and you can’t really argue with that decision.

-It was an agonizing decision b/w LSU & Bama. Corey Raymond dB coach at LSU had best relationship with son.

-Miami will be fine & your not gonna get every 17 yr old kid the way they make decisions. Really impressed with Miami’s 2018 dB class

-Rumph develops his corners, & they will be coached up. Critical fans of him should be punched in the face.

-Silvera is a day 1 starter & a beast.

-Hopes Jarvis Landry gets paid by The Phins.

-His track relay team will break the national record this year. Four football players.

Makes me want to fire Rumph even more.

Sends his son to Alabama..... "oh don't worry Miami, you'll be fine with Nigel Bethel."

If he wants us to keep Rumph, then I want to fire him.

The bag talk is fckin out of control.

We got beat.

Plan and simple.

It's like getting rejected by a dime at the club, having her feel bad for you, and introducing you to her awesome friend who is a 6 on a good day.

Both played in the championship game. Its obvious they felt miami wasn't close to winning it all.

Since I’ve been following recruiting, Broward kids seem to love winners, we have to win bigger at the end of the day man

Because the Broward kids we have problems with are the ones who are already used to being front runners and getting benefits by running to the stacked private schools. Same with Dade. Miami rarely has problems with the public school kids. Sony, Ridley, SBB, McFadden, Burns, Scarlett, Irvin, Wilson, Slaton, Henderson, Jobe, Samuels, Campbell, Surtain. Go through Miami's big misses and it's going to be filled with a laundry list of who's who of private Dade or Broward kids

How is bama easy road? They have a stacked depth chart

Because kid said out of his own mouth he wants to continue winning championship's like he does at Heritage and Bama wins championship. He's 100% front runner I guess because him and his pappy had the sorriest team at PPO when he was the alpha. that him and his pappy fell in love with how easy it is to win on an established and stacked team that he doesn't want to have to actually work and build something. Fk that front runner beta.

Ok, what's wrong with that?

Nothing.

The interview was painful to listen to and condescending.

The kid was all LSU well before this staff showed up. If anybody really got screwed, it was Corey Raymond who spent 4 years recruiting this kid. LSU runs Miles out of town and elevates O. No way they are EVER winning the SEC West. Miami didn't get a commitment until a couple of weeks prior his OV. Most likely a courtesy visit out of respect for Mike. As his dad said he made a business decision. Look, Alabama is going to be odds on favorite to win a national title as long as Saban is there or until they finally get caught for cheating.

Let me ask you a basic question. How many of these kid's actually paid for their private school tuition?

Name the last highly drafted cb from Georgia or one that played well in the NFL

Surtain and TC were NEVER coming here. Some want to push this narrative that we had a chance and got beaten out for them. Not true. We never had a chance.

What does that have to do with anything? It’s a mostly new coaching staff. Schools don’t develop players, coaches do.
