Don't know where the American Heritage four will end up. There is definitely some type of 'riff' between the American Heritage coaches and UM coaches because this should have been a slam dunk. These guys should have been committed long time. For them, and with their families' blessings to turn their backs on the area that nurtured them to this point, the coaches that nurtured them to this point, when the hometown team is in dire need of their talents and skills (a match made in heaven) to make them instant Hometown Heroes for a lifetime. Something has to be sometin'.

I am not a Dolphin fan so you all will have to correct me if I am wrong. I have seen several of you mention that Saban cut Surtain SR. Also that Saban stepped over an injured player in the locker room like they weren't there and were meaningless. I believe he also ran the team down into the ground and then left midway through the season. Am I correct on all of this?

I can see SR getting over being cut because that happens, but that other stuff he had to have friends still on the team to know what was going on. It has to be hard for you to have a high profile kid who has options, while you are pretty well off yourself, and then let them go to such a person.

People talking about losing trust in the LSU coaching staff. How can they have any trust in the Saban coaching staff? Especially when that staff turns over every couple of years anyway.

People well connected with his father have posted on Bama boards that it’s a done deal. He isn’t going to LSU cause the family heard rumblings that Raymond was going to interview with the Dolphins to escape coach O. We have heard rumblings the family doesn’t feel comfortable with the LSU staff all the sudden so it makes sense. Can Richt pull him, possibly but right now it’s all pointing towards Bama. All you soft shoulder b**ches who only pump positive news can get over it. We ain’t getting everyone.

Better connected to Pat Sr. than Mike Rumph? I wouldn't doubt that PS2 has got them as #1 right now post visit, but I'll take his word for it that he's going to visit and see how he feels. Frankly all I would ask.

He left after the season was over.

Nobody was happy when he left and he did trade Surtain.

Surtain also interviewed with him for a coaching position recently.

I honestly don’t think it will have any bearing on his decision in the slightest if they think bammer is the best landing spot for him. What I think might count more is how the visit went and how they feel they could trust Saban now, as opposed to what happened with the Dolphins.

I'm pretty sure Saban left prior to the season ending but I could be wrong.
