Barry Sanders and Thurman Thomas.

Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to enjoy either of their talents at OSU. Thurman arrived in ‘84, the season after Jimmy left for Miami. Barry’s 1st season at OSU was in 86. Jimmy may have recruited Thurman, but I don’t know that for sure.

Jimmy was the only real voice at their Bourbon Street stroll. He was at the center of the “Thug Nation” he understood the culture of Sofla. And he let them be themselves, and reaped the rewards. The rest of those Mooks just gave it NFL lip service.. love Jimmy, always keeps it real.
