I want more than anyone for Miami to get their own stadium. If I had my own way, Orange Bowl would be rebuilt. But just for argument's sake, what are the pluses, benefits and good things about Sun Life Stadium? I have never had the chance to go there so I'm really interested in what the students and fans who go to the stadium think of the place. I've heard plenty of negative stuff so it would be nice to hear some good things about it.

This may be the shortest thread in the history of CanesInsight. lol

Club level is comfortable and you can always sit at the bar inside to get a closer view, via the many tv's, of what is happening on the field (seats are too far from the field). They also serve drinks throughout the entire game, and even for quite awhile afterward, on club level--if drinking is your thing.

1) club level - what's not to like
2) parking -
3) scoreboard and video boards
4) bathrooms
5) concession areas and open space to chill in between quarters and at halftime

While I believe that a move to our own stadium is the best thing in the long run, I don't believe SLS is as bad as people say it is assuming people are there. It felt pretty decent for '13 UF, '10 FSU, and '09 OU. The screens are pretty nice to see plays that aren't near you. Club level is legit if you ever get the chance to sit there. Bathrooms much better than the OB. Pretty much everything everyone already said.

Better access parking actual seats bathrooms concessions an actual jumbotron and club level. It's not as bad as ppl make it seem. The problem is it's always empty bc the team is garbage not bc of the stadium

you can buy a cheap seat and then sit at the 50yd line in the lower bowl if you so please....

I wish the seats were closer to the field.. and that it was a bit more intimate.. other than that.. it's a solid overall game day experience.

My sons and I went to the UM-BC basketball game at BUC this past Saturday. The BUC is a great place to see a basketball game. If you remove the 10 student band from the student section, there were probably 15 students there supporting the team. I used to think that the poor student attendance at the football games was due, in part, to the distance of Sun Life from campus. Given the fact that the BUC is on campus, I am now calling bullisht on the distance rationale for poor student attendance at the football games.

People like to ***** about it, but in reality the only major drawback is the distance from the field. Parking is better, tailgating is better, bathrooms are better, food is better, replay/jumbo trons exist...

The most amusing part to me is the people that want to talk about atmosphere, comparable to the OB and always leave out that Miami had great teams for a decade plus in the OB. How was the "atmosphere" during the last game vs UVA???

Sorry to thread jack but I will strongly disagree.

As a student from 2003-07 my experiences were always better in the OB than No Life. No Life offers nothing in terms of home field advantage and this is the biggest issue I have with the No Life stadium. We have no game day experience for 85-90% of the games.

07 the experience in the ob was horrendous outside of the tamu game. We couldn't beg ppl to go to those countless noon games

Hi I am Kurt, I am in town in October for a gerkins convention. I am given two options (equidistant from my hotel and the same cost) for attending a college football game.

Option A: Modern stadium, with modern amenities but with less of a gameday vibe.

Option B: Older stadium, with less amenities but with more of a gameday vibe.

For Kurt, he may choose Option A since he doesn't care about anything else.

I actually graduated in May 07 so I didn't attend many games that year. The point still remains, there was an atmosphere in the OB. There is no atmosphere in the No Life.

When you win, people will attend games. When people attend games, the game day experience is better. When the game day experience is better, there is a decided home field advantage. When there is a decided home field advantage, Consigliere is happy. Win games and Consigliere will be happy.
