Per Golden on Hurricane Hotline, he believes the strengths of the team are offensive line, Stephen Morris and (by the end of the season) linebacker.

Do you agree?

Going in I would've said LB, but injuries have knocked that group back a peg.

OL is a safe bet. Physically they're our best looking unit IMO.

linebacker would make me feel better if Kirby weren't injured and if Gaines had solidified a spot

nobody has really seen Armbrister or Johnson play though, so they might turn out to surprise some folks

I think running back will be another strength, 2 veteran backs and a super talented freshman, that's a pretty strong lineup

I'd be surprised if we see more Armbrister than Gaines at LB Saturday. That is assuming Gaines is healthy, which he may not be.

I had questions about the LB but Golden see Johnson and Ambister every day so they must be ready. OL I definitley agree, should be the strongest and I still have the jury out on Morris. His INT to TD ratio has me scared.

LB is solid. Not much talk of Buchanon by the fans but he is an interesting guy. Experience and athleticism, could bust out.

I think the running backs are a strength too. They aren't great but collectively they can be the backbone of the team. With lots of questions at WR I think the backs step up.

I think LB would be a strength right now if Kirby was healthy. I think he would have been like Perryman last year. I'm actually surprised Gaines in still working inside (according to the depth chart), I don't see many opportunities since Perryman will play a lot. Thought he'd be in the mix with Johnson and Armbrister for a starting spot on the outside.
I'm obviously a huge Morris fan so i agree there
OL should have been a strength the last few years and hasn't, I'll believe it when I see it.

Some that he didn't mention but:
RB (as a group) and TE could be very good this year.

running backs

This should be the strength and rock of this team. No added pressure on Morris if the running game is going. I understand this all relies on our O-line but if the running game is going, it opens everything up for our offense and keeps our defense off the field.

Diego, if TE ends up a strength this year we are gonna do some thangs on offense. I'm not there yet with them though (hope I'm wrong)

Very concerned with DTs,have heard Golden answer ?s about them the last few days and he doesn't sound to excited about them.

I would say OL but i got a funny feeling Ramon buc is gonna have a good year. by the end of the year it could be LB

Its never good to have 2 True Freshman in the top 5 at DT. That's why the Porter injury was big. Still think the DT play will be better then last year but that isn't saying a lot

If our Dlinemen are stronger than last year - then our LB's should be able to just attack the holes.

Our LB's have had Olinemen in their faces for years.

OL is number one on my list, but I am intrigued by the LBs. I actually take the fact that Gaines has been moved inside as a positive sign - that the staff really likes Armbrister, Johnson, and Terry. I am anxious to see how those guys do against BC.

No one has mentioned the DBs. We have an infusion of five, apparently talented, new guys in Howard, Bush, A. Crawford, Jenkins, and Gunter. They may get burned some, but, again, I expect to have fun watching them.

If Morris really is one of our strengths, we're in better shape than most would give us credit for. He can take pressure off the D by keeping more possesion and scoring more points than we did last year.

I really like our offensive line. I know they don't have a lot of starts and 0 starts together but I do think we have a great line. I guess we will find out in a few days. I can't wait!

I think the progression of the LBs throughout the season will be big. I think they will be very solid.

I'm hoping the OL can put it together, right now i'm iffy on them.

By the end of the season I think the WRs and TEs will be a strength of the team.

I like that the entire OL has been together for all of fall camp. That's a big advantage over past years. Continuity is huge for OL.

I'm also interested in seeing what Armbrister can do. I wasnt very impressed with Gaines last season. He was in position but rarely made plays.

I expect to see a pretty good running game to go with a fairly efficient passing game, with much more big play ability due to Morris's arm strength. The offense should be more consistent moving the chains.

The defense should be improved in all areas except pass rush. I think the DL will be similar to what we saw in 2000.

This can be a very good team if they stay healthy, especially on defense. The depth just isnt there yet.
