Streeter

Don't give a **** about any Cane that sold his team out to leave early for a draft that he had no business being in yet. If he had come back and put in the work he wouldn't be having this problem.

Sucks for Tommy. Had a good amount of talent. Wanted him to do well.

Here's what I said of him when he decided to leave:

I don't think I disagree with almost any of the substantive stuff mentioned about Tommy Streeter. Where he'll go in the draft may be another story, but

(1) he is a limited route-runner right now,
(2) he does sometimes struggle to sink
(3) he sometimes seems awkward catching the ball
(4) he doesn't always attack the ball.

Streeter should have come back and polished his game. I've mentioned it a bunch of times and I'll say it again: his risk/reward for coming back outweighed his risk/reward for leaving. *This assumes there weren't underlying NCAA investigation things that led to the decision.

Lu, I think at the NFL level, he's at best, nothing more than 4th or 5th WR, a guy who plays a specific role( in his case, stretching the field, running a lot of 9's)

I just dont get this mentality from fans.... players leave early all the time and it is disappointing, but how is that "selling out"??. I'm sure USCe fans are going to be disappointed when J. Clowney leaves after this season even though they know that he is more then ready.

If Streeter works hard enough, he has the talent to get on the field as an effective back-up imo.... if it happens i dont know, but i hope he works hard enough to see what can happen.

That's like comparing apples to rotten oranges

Clowney will leave as a top 3 pick( at worst, if he's healthy) and he's given USCe 3 sterling years of football. He maximized his stay

Streeter essentially had a good month at UM

And he left while being a late draft pick

I don't see these situations being analogous

Randy Special that couldn't handle the Golden change where he finally excelled. Good player for us but wrong attitude. That extra year here would of done wonders for him.

HUH??.....Randy didnt even play the guy. Blame drew or who ever his agent was that talked him into going to the nfl..**** his parents didnt even want him to go....but dude was so excited to get that Porsche Panamera.

Yes because one of the best lineman in football leaving early and drafted at or near the top should be compared to a kid who was nothing before someone took him under his wing and developed him then drafted in the 6th round.

Good work!

Buying a car that's almost worth what you make a year. Super smart.

you are making my point while not even understanding my point..... Dont u think it is more disappointing for a fan base to lose a Beast talent that is a sure top 3 pick early, when u could have had him dominating for another year... then someone who didnt really live up to expectations deciding to leave early???

My point is its not selling out regardless.... Streeter made an immature decision based on allowing Drew Rosenhaus to make him think he can be the next Randy Moss or something ridiculous like that, instead of listening to Golden. The only person Streeter sold out was himself.... its not like Miami was going to be eligible for a ACC championship run anyway.

Exactly! Streeter had no business leaving early. Clowney is a stud and will be one of the first people taken in the draft and will have a long successful career in the NFL. Streeter went in what round and now can't even get on a roster?

All of those boys who left early should have stuck around and had another year of being groomed into men.

Jacory can get him a gig in Edmonton. Streeter would have been wise to stay one more year at UM.

Jacory ain't with Edmonton no more, but big Figs is stating in Hamilton, maybe help him there!

Jacory is with Edmonton he is on the practice squad roster.

Good luck to Figs.

I think he and Jonathan Crompton were tied for 3rd string but Crompton had a year experience in the cfl game so their working Jacory towrd that. They originally had like 6-7 qbs so Jacory beat out a few of them to make the roster.

I chalk it up to the failed skreet mentality of that 08 MNW class. Those kids listened to the wrong people, all the time. Its as if they only listened to what they wanted to hear. Perhaps thats why they didnt develop anywhere near their potential.

In this case, Tommy listened to Drew Rosenhaus, who convinced him he was a first round pick. THINKA ABOUT THAT FOR A MINUTE. Who else was telling him this? No one that knew anything.
