You can trade away. Your total gains aren't taxes until you take it out. You want to make as much money as you can, and theoretically take distributions annually when you retire and your tax rate is lower.

A large majority of online bullion sellers have halted till futures opens. Some have ran out of stock. They'll adjust their prices when futures open but expect the premium for physical to skyrocket. It was a 6-10$ per ounce premium at the height of early covid. I checked a few weeks ago it was back to only around 5%. Physical won't last long in this environment.

Apparently Exxon and Chevron discussed a merger last year? Good lord that would have been seismic.

On another note, it feels like there will be more M&A activity coming up. Personally, I’d LOVE to see Apple put its cash to use and buy Sony. Content for iTunes, content for appletv, and Xbox/Microsoft’s biggest competitor. I am going to manifest and will this into existence.

gapping up 6%+ on open.... $1.50 from an 8 year high.

You can't move money out until the specified age for that type of IRA or you incur a penalty. I think there may be some limited exceptions that differ based on type of account (maybe buying a house or paying for college). As someone who has an LLM in Tax, IRA rules are so unnecessarily over-complicated it is incredible.

Yes you are building up wealth within a bubble, you cannot remove them from the IRA shield until eligible, and then you will pay taxes on the gains.

Actually you can pull the $ out if you want. 10% penalty.
