Bought a chunk of 8-6 and 8-13 7$ calls on HL. HL reports before the bell tomorrow and has been explosive on the last few earnings calls. It's currently trading around 40% or so off it's 45 day high, and is sitting on top of a 1 year trendline. I'm expecting another great earnings call with gold and silver still trading in range. I like the setup.

Did i mention my AMD calls CRUSHED. CELH calls doing exceptional heading into this weeks earning call.

New ALL TIME CLOSING HIGH for LUNA/BTC.

Currently getting my lunch eaten on the 8-6 HL calls even though they reported nearly their best earnings in their 130 year history. Perhaps the price action will pickup before my 8-13 calls. Always a risk trading so close to earnings.

PENN and CELH calls rockin n rolling today though :)

Question to the experts re: exit strategies on LEAPS

So I am up bigly on my AAPL and PFE leaps. Deep ITM. I think I am going to exercise on AAPL, so forget that. My original plan was to strategically exit if I got to 100% profit on PFE. I’m currently +250%. However I feel like given the delta covid situation, a renewed push for greater vaccination rates…I feel like it’s definitely got some more room to run. The stock isn’t particularly something I’m interested in holding super long term.

My question - at what point am I crossing into greed and risking some trimming of my profit? Should I be happy with my gains, sell, and move on to the next if I don’t plan to hold onto the stock long term? Or should I continue to “trust the thesis” as they say and let it run further towards expiry?

I’m not seeking specific investment advice here - just opinions on exit strategies. Not trying to make anyone uncomfortable LOL.

Depends what you think the future holds for the company and when your LEAPS expire. This is not a binary decision though. People are always so absolute with their choices, me too sometimes. Why not take 65%, enjoy the profits, book a big win, and let 35% ride?

Always a chance it will drop significantly along the way anyway and you can buy back in longer range and cheaper if you're in love.

Lots of good stuff in there, thanks. You still buying at these levels?

I added 30% more shares at this level 2 weeks ago which has put me pretty overweight so i'm paused atm and focused on growing my options only acct.

I would like to see some clarity on the timeline for the build of the processing facility and if they intend to keep it at the same scale / CapEx #.

Sold my CRSP for 90% gain over 5 days. PLTR options are currently -1% but earnings next week.
Options only account up 34% in 3 weeks. Only long calls for now.

PLTR options up 52%
CELH options up 42%

Picked up the following today
APPS 66$ 9-24-21 calls
DKNG 55$ 11-19-21 calls
MSOS 45$ 6-17-22 calls

Big Losers
HL dumped it all 50-60% loss

Don't get too high on this. Take lots of profits along the way. And WELL DONE.
