There are no bagmen and SEC boosters forcing these kids to choose their school. They are choosing these schools because that is where they want to go. We just need to keep finding more Richards that are out their and keep it moving. Richards is proving to be just as good or better anyways.
You do understand Richards wasn't a hidden gem. He was targeted by Bama to be in the line of Cooper, Ridley, Jeudy. He just chose Miami instead. It's not about finding the Richards alternative. It's about keeping the Jeudy/Richards home
I agree with you 100% about keeping the Jeudy's and Richards home. But I disagree when you suggest that Bagmen and Boosters are the underlining reason these kids are not choosing Miami. As you stated Richards was highly recruited as Jeudy but in the end he chose Miami. I'm sure the desire to stay home and be apart of this U is what ultimately sealed the deal. I want kids like that, that have the desire to be a Cane. I feel like Jeudy will make the same decision as Richards in the end. I think he really wants to be a Cane but he's just playing his best card right now to secure his spot at Bama just encase he sees something he doesn't like with Miami.
Another thing is that this kid is very smart. If you pay attention to what he's done over the off season this kid has done a great job in marketing himself. That's because he believe that he is the best WR out there. And with a kid like that he is making a statement to all recruiters that you are going to have to work hard to get me and that includes Bama keeping him. You can best believe Bama cringes with every win that Miami has so far because that shows as evidence to support what Miami recruiters are selling.
Each kid is different and has a different key for his recruitment. We bmoan the fact that kids don't stay home, but some kids can't wait to go someplace else (Matthew Thomas). Some kids are dying to check out the country (apparently Alex Collins). Some want the best chance to win in college (every a-hole who chooses bama and osu). And for some, they need money. Miami is sitting at the epicenter of recruiting and has unmatched natural beauty and a great history. Unfortunately that won't sway every elite kid. That said, with some decent coaching and more winning we'll be getting as many elites as we need.
