Still don't think Al fires Mark

There are 1760 yards in a mile. Miami's defense has allowed 1611 yards over past three games (slightly over 9-10ths of a mile).

I don't think he has a choice and will fire him. Best we can hope for is Tom Bradley who is probably the best guy out there running this type of scheme. Will probably end up with a cheap puppet to run Als messed up system. If thats the case then keep the same puppet we have now.

We have been duped. Another decade of mediocrity while we watch our in-state rivals stock their trophy cases

I remember saying to fire D'Onofrio and bring in Ray Lewis to coach the defense. Please don't tell me that is far fetched because you could have sold him on coaching and being close to his son, being back at his Alma Matter, and still being around the game.

There's no way, ZERO chance he will fire him...for the same reason he still ALLOWS guys like 30, 22, 31, and 9 (sorry fellas, we all love him for what he went through, but kid has no business being on the field)...he doesn't have the balls it takes to be an elite coach. He really is a glorified car salesman, he can talk all day...he'll ill even give him credit for establishing his structure within the program...but an elite cfb coach would sit a 5th yr sr QB in favor of a transfer if it made the team better...golden won't do it...I still consider him to be a good coach, but now I'm left with the sobering reality that 'good' ain't gonna get it done. So even thoug next year and the year after that our team will be better, the fact that he hasn't been able to figure out a way to get it done this year tells me all I need to know.

the ****tiest part about the last two weeks for me? Not just losing at home to VT, then fvckin DUkE...not even the amount of yards and pts we gave up...it's the fact that I don't have th same belief I had before. I could always tell myself "hey it's bad now, but it'll get better, it's comin" but now that feeling is lost, and I have a hard time thinking it will come back.

That reason there is the reason he doesn't get fired. He doesn't have the guys to run his system. Next year if he doesn't get it done he will be gone. We even ran 4-3 a lot tonight and our boys got pushed around. Our LB's and DB's that are good (outside of DP) are all young. Only reason 9 was on field as much as he was cause of injuries. We don't have anything left at WR.

people suggesting we bring back random former players to the coaching staff, especially ones with comfy *** jobs making millions to give their opinions:

u know now what a real coach does? Adapts...beat yours with his or beat his with yours...this fat pos has continued to try to run this joke of a defense with the wrong parts

Then Golden can take his used car sales pitches elsewhere. Pathetic display the last 2 weeks. Defense basically stop playing after the first drive, just like last week.

If you call 3 down linemen and one standing up playing a rush/drop back LB/DE a 4-3, then I guess we ran a 4-3. I saw us play a lot of 3-4 with the 4th guy up on the line and if it was a pass, drop back into coverage. A lot of the time, it was Green, #51.

Another thing I saw tonight, other than our entire DL getting pushed down the field 3+ yards at a time, is when we did stand our ground, we had NO containment on the outside of the DL. None. I can't think of any time that they ran outside where it didn't get at least 5 yards and a lot were 10+. If they could get around the DL, then it was off to the races. It didn't look like we tried to do ANYTHING different on defense tonight. Horrible...SMH.

If Al don't fire coach D then I guess hes willing to go down with the ship... he needs to let go a few coaches the D line coach and coach swasey got to go and the jury is still out on coley

Our AD gave Al a **** extension, he should of waited

Had to at the time, since the slime administration never mentioned the whole NCAA thing. Now however, that is over and we can live without him. But, we can't really afford to buy him out. The AD can however ax the DC and then Al might quit -- no pay out then. Let's all hope Al is man enough to give Mark the boot. No decent school will hire him knowing Mark comes with him.
