Stephen Morris - No Love!

How the heck can the winner of the Manning QB camp not be more INTRIGUING than Reese, Murray, Pachall and other no names is beyond logic and reason.

I don't see this as a knock on Morris. "Intriguing" does not equal "good." This seems to be a list of the biggest question marks/controversies. The only slap, IMO, is that Morris is an honorable mention.

This.

Y'all are looking too much into it. He's listing situations that will be interesting to watch. So looking at it from that perspective, it's a good list.

Senior QB (one who has garnered attention for possibly grading out in the top two rounds of the 2014 NFL draft) on a team mired in controversy, leading an offense returning all starters except the 2nd best RB, after breaking a school's single season total yards record for a program which has had multiple QBs who can be considered amongst the all time greats.

Yeah, not very interesting. "TBD" for Southern California... Now that is an interesting QB to watch.

I think it's the opposite of what some of you are saying. On a list of top QBs, say the top 5 or so, Morris' absence would make more sense. On a list of most intriguing, he may be the most intriguing QB in the entire nation.

Lightly recruited QB out of HS who's shown brilliant flashes and wild inconsistency, has gone through 3 O-Coordinators and may or may not work himself into a 1st round pick in the NFL draft. In the meantime, his once powerful football program has been under the cloud of an NCAA investigation for 2+ years and expectations are now higher than almost at any point since he's been in college. That sounds a lot closer to the definition than some of the proven commodities or guys with lower ceilings.

Morris might be the MOST intriguing QB in the country outside of Johnny Football. He has undergone a meteoric rise on the national scene ever since that Manning camp. We knew about his potential, but it wasn't until his showing at that camp that experts, scouts, and analysts started really examining him and heaping praise on him. On CBS' ranking of prospects, he's now the #3 overall QB and a projected 1-2 rounder. They have him as the 39th overall prospect. He wasn't even in the top 10 for QBs a few months ago.

Luckily, the crap some fat slob pounds into his keyboard at 4 am with a fistful of Cheetoh fingers and a gut full of Mountain Dew won't have any impact on the year Morris is about to enjoy. So, in closing, I leave you with this: I don't give a ****.

I think with Morris, they are taking the "he's good, and he's going to perform well, so it's not that interesting."

A lot of that list is "Can they step up and take over a team that did well last year or who had no leadership last year?" (i.e. Winston, Rees, USC QBs) or "can this QB replicate what he did last year?" (Manziel, McCarron). Now, Morris could be in that second category, but his omission doesn't really upset me. It's definitely not talking about the top QBs in the nation.

This is the same guy who wrote an article about 10 teams who could win the NCAA tournament in 2010 and 1 team who couldn't. The 1 team who couldn't happened to be Duke, coincidentally Duke won the whole thing that year. Forde lost all credibility with that article...
