And I admitted it was me throwing a school out there to make an exaggeration, hyperbole, whatever you want to call it to, once again, emphasize that until the kid visits, I don't want to hear it.

You all love crystal balls by 247 so much, well SC is still the overwhelming favorite according to that. So, yeah. Wake me up when this kid actually makes it to Coral Gables. He just visited South Carolina, but still has yet to visit us.

But ok, fine, whatever lol. We are in his top 14, woohoo. Kid has set up visits to several other schools, been on several visits but has not visited us. We are exactly where we need to be and have a great chance based on everything we have seen so far, better?
 
The only issue you all have with my post is me saying lock to SC. The overall sentiment that he isn't coming here until he visits, I sense deep down you all agree with but of course, have to find anything else to nitpick with lol. If I would have left the SC part out, then it would not have been an issue. Understood, noted.

It's March. Two weeks ago he said he plans to visit Miami soon. While I generally agree with the premise that you need to follow the visits, there's still plenty of time for a visit. The "he isn't coming here until he visits" take isn't saying much of anything at the moment. If it's mid-December and he still hasn't set foot on campus, then you're onto something.

Is it true that Steele doesnt really get along with the Mater Dei kids? I read on the USC board that they dont expect Steele because of the beef between him and the Mater Dei kids.

We made his top 44 and 14? Oh he’s coming, no doubt in my mind.

I mean the odds are obviously in our favor.

Helton isnt pete carrol in recruiting or coaching but sc gets who they want pretty much. Helton only sucks in coaching.

Yeah if USC wants a Cali kid, its pretty ******* hard to pull them, regardless where in the state of California they live. Thats how highly I, and people I know view USC. I mean if its someone making the choice purely academically, Stanford and Cal can compete for the NorCal kids. But USC > UCLA for sure.

Point is if we want him, we basically gotta hope this kid wants out of California.

He told nephew he doesnt like amon but thats not what keeps them from being a heavy favorite. Kids out there have heard about the staff & infighting. Not a healthy locker room situation... not as bad as UCLA and the strength coach who gets drunk and puts hands on players and coaches. But based all the same.

There's infighting going on out there? Idk what it is about him, but Helton just doesn't strike me as the kind of coach who can handle that kind of thing. Not that I'd expect you to know whats going on but I've always wondered why Tee Martin keeps getting overlooked for jobs. I figured Tennessee would have jumped all over him when that job came open.

I just know a couple of kids on the roster. In case yall havent figured out by now one of my peoples business ventures involves college placements for athletes. Theyre based in cali... helton has no control in the locker room. My own opinion from my few experiences with tee id have to guess he gets bypassed because hes too nice of a guy. He just wants to be one of the boys. You need a coach in this day and age who can play both sides of the coin.
