Stat not being talked about enough.

You got that right. There's no silver linings in 4-4. You either win or you lose. We're doing a **** of a lot of losing these days.

Nobody cares about Miss Congeniality.

Let everyone know when in your opinion our record is good enough to talk about something other than our record.

How does that negate my comment? Youre saying 11 penalties is still bad when not even the best of teams have less

I'm not negating your comment. I'm just saying it's meaningless and pointless. You can go 15-0 and lead the nation in penalties, or you can go 0-12 and have the fewest in the country. I wouldn't care about penalties either way.

We suck, and it has nothing to do with penalties.

LOL, will do, bro. But if you can't agree that .500 football at UM ain't it, I'm not sure I can help you a whole lot. Enjoy the weekend, man!

It's like in high school hoops...Coach was looking at that stat sheet after a loss. He told my man..."One foul huh? Well that's good...But do you think that's because you were no where near your god **** man all game? Maybe if you would have fouled whoever we put you on once in a while they wouldn't have torched us all night?"

I think we still lead the nation on non penalty calls.

Our D-Line gets held constantly and blatantly. (I know it goes both ways)

Honestly i watch alot of football.

I have never seen a team with the type of dline we have...have sooooo few holding calls.

There was literally a play where a guy from pitt tried to tackle Jon Garvin...i was screaming at the tv...the crazy thing is..i think our guys are accustomed to it..Garvin didnt even argue it...and i NEVER see our coaches working the refs.

Its literaly almost a travesty. Like to the point it should have been multiple complaints sent to this conference about it.

There was a time when 5 and 5 would have meant a decent year. We are a spoiled fan base, me included. It was more of a sport back then not life or death. I guess it`s me. Anyway GO CANES

That's fair. Our incompetence certainly goes beyond the amount of penalties committed this season.
On the flip side, against UiF (14 penalties), VT (11 penalties), and even UNC (7 penalties), an argument can be made that we win those games if fewer penalties are committed.
I wish we were still that team that would take a couple unsportsmanlike and excessive celebration penalties a game, and sprinkle in a few unnecessary roughness penalties, and still win by 3 TDs. But this team sure as **** isn't those teams. If we want to win, we need to play as clean a game as we are capable. And fewer penalties that last few games is still a positive sign (amidst a sea of negative ones).

I was yelling on that same play. Garvin got outside him, the OL got a hold of Garvin's inside shoulder, got turned around and pushed him to the group from behind as he basically fell on him.

I've seen our DL get held so bad they get spun around and still no flag. Crazy.

I

I was at the Pitt game...Was it last drive gogeta? If so, I went nuts...In all fairness, they let both OL hold a lot in the game, as I think they knew they were overmatched lol. But Garvin was almost choked out on the 1st play of the last drive, it was a **** joke it wasn't called.

What they did to us 2 seasons ago...8 straight games no holding calls, and we were top 3 outta 130 in sacks?! The orange bowl against Wisky was nothing short of a crime. Richt was 1000% dead right for flipping. There were 3 on that drive that were with a tackle isolated, 2 with the qb about to get hit and the final one on a 3rd and a gazillion that they converted because it wasn't called. It was as big a reason as any that Wisky beat us...2-3 holding calls, and especially on that drive, and UM wins that game, which would have been huge for recruiting off of the ACC ship blowout loss to Clem

yup...last drive

It's a good sign. I was killing Manny/Enos for the penalties early in the season (we were among the worst in CFB) so this is a step in the right direction.

Refs just haven't been blowing whistles. We are still grab a$$ out there like the 90 yr old man at a yoga studio. lol.

Well you know carter is going to get a targeting call in the first half of this game... so there is that.
