110 Recs for 2,045 Yards 10TDs his last 21 Games

5’11 170lbs WR out of Maricopa AZ, was a 2-star coming out of HS.

But has thrived in Dave Warner’s offense at UTEP.

Had 69rec 1,354yds & 7TD’s at 19.6 yards per catch this season...
As a Red Sophomore has had 141rec 2,595yds & 13TD’s thus far in his career.

Legit speed, excellent route runner & terrific hands, productive wideout that you can move around from X, to Y/Slot to Z/Flanker. He’s a big play deep ball field stretcher. We probably won’t be interested in him, but put him in the right offense & he’d be a scary weapon to add on to an already stacked offensive unit.

Late night slide thru some numbers while listening to random corch pressers, saw the name and said looked familiar.. BUMP

Tulsa, ODU, Oregon State…that’s the type of programs we need to be scouting for the coming Portal season to grab a steady receiver or two (in addition to trying to get in play for the 2 or 3 legit studs from big programs that we know will come available but likely not want to come play in this offense until we prove it).

Don’t think we need a transfer receiver. Let’s let the young guys shine. It would be different if none of them showed promise early on like pope/wiggins etc but they all flashed plus restrepo too at various times in the season. Got to start developing them and with more reps as true starters they will produce imo
Lol you honestly have to stop saying we don't need transfer wrs dawg.

Good thing he didn't come here. 🙄

Cowing transferred to Arizona because he has a young son in AZ that he wanted to be close too. He didn’t consider any other school other than Arizona, he didn’t visit any other school other than Arizona.

Why do some of think Miami is entitled to every kid that enters the portal?

Jacob Cowing was one of the most coveted transfers in college football this offseason. A lot of big-time programs called the prolific UTEP wide receiver in December, and their offers were awfully tempting for a former two-star recruit. But when the Arizona native got the offer he needed, the decision was easy. He chose Chase.

Cowing didn’t take any official visits. He didn’t need to. He committed on Jan. 3 and got moved to Tucson as soon he could.

This is same fan base that expects 10 wins every year. Rationale is not accepted nor tolerated move along.

Hey, I don't think we're entitled to anything. I sure as heck don't think we're entitled to any WR recruits until we show we deserve them. We're just another school at this point until we prove otherwise.

Good on him for doing what the article says and hopefully he's being the best father he can with limited time. Not just a name for an article with feel good vibes. Thanks for posting as I didn't know that angle.
