To watch how bad CFB has been compromised and is getting worse.
No doubt a crash is coming the word TEAM is history no allegiance at all it’s a ME sport no matter how many times players say “ It’s not the money I’d play for free for the love of the game “ LMAO .

What hasn’t been compromised? The Pros, in every sport, major and minor. Follow the money. The advent of legalized gambling has created the environment for every game, every sport, play by play, pitch by pitch, every at bat, shot on goal to win or lose money. Every aspect of every game is of importance. Why wouldn’t that atmosphere trickle down. Not saying that gambling has corrupted the games. But, the importance that money plays in the performance of the players and teams. When you can spend vast amounts to buy a World Series or Super Bowl or a Natty, it becomes just another part of the game and acceptable.when fans watch their team lose a championship, but still walk away with winnings bc they laid good money, is it still TEAM, or is it Me? In CFB, the pendulum has swung swiftly added by the infusion of money, and other factors, but getting paid NOW is the motivation. Be interesting to see where it goes when the pendulum swings back. But for now, “Show Me the Money,”has replaced “For the love of the Game”.

If anything, the numbers are going to go up rather than a crash. College football is the second most popular sport in America.

It was NEVER about the "Love of the Game". For as long as competitive sports have existed, there has been a financial benefit for SOMEONE. People love to glorify the ancient Olympiads, but people forget that those athletes received land, military deferments and in some cases, political power if they performed well. The old Amateurism movement was designed to limit competition and keep the working classes out of competitive sport. In other words, Lord Douchebag's offspring wouldn't have to compete against working class people, because it's unlikely that a person fighting to survive would be okay with competing for free.

I will never have a problem with LABOR getting paid for their talent and effort.

You should tell your Boss to keep your paychecks & just add it to his salary.

Because you're a company first kinda guy & you work for the love of the job.

I too would never have a problem with labor being compensated for their play. In fact, I’m from a working class family, and my grandfather, an immigrant, played for the IRT Rangers. They were the soccer team for the NY Transit Co. in the early 20th century. He made about $8.00 a game, handsomely rewarded for his play. And, it beat working in the Coal mines outside of Glasgow. He loved the Game and loved to play it. By tne grace of God he was talented enough to parlay it and get paid, even during the Depression. Players like him , loved it, loved getting paid and loved to play for the fans. The Fans, that’s where “for the love of the game “ comes from. JFC, they pay to watch. Love of the Game is real. Those guys getting paid now, bc they played bc they loved the Game, first.
