Up to 2008 when Mark was stripped of his playcalling duties his record on the road?

27-4

Saw a uga fan post this elsewhere, pretty eye opening if true

When he came to Georgia he had just been an offensive coordinator for a championship level team. When he got here, he was a CEO who was rusty with the Xs and Os. Hopefully he's worked through that and can get back to form.

Encouraged by what we saw the last 4 games, and during that losing streak he attempted to tweak the offense every game too

Agreed. The most encouraging sign from this staff is their ability to recognize when they need to change instead of doing the same thing over and over expecting different results cough Folden cough

We didn't play anyone good in the final 4 games. Syracuse hung 60 on that awful Pitt defense. We had 3 points at the half against NC State.

Not so fast. This same Pitt team beat the guys who are in the CFB playoff in Clemson. I wouldn't discredit that W

Yeah, this is crap. I'm not saying we beat great teams but those were solid wins, games where the team looked good on offense and defense. You can go back and try to revise the results to fit your narrative, but the truth is that only the most optimistic fans thought we'd end the year on a 4 game winning streak. So you can say those wins weren't very good now, but the truth is that few of us gave Richt much of a chance to get them. He changed some things up and got it done, and deserves credit for that.

How does a HC get stripped of play calling duties... Then why is he the head coach, then why stay at the school that's embarrassing if the schools ad/admin can or would do that!

Miami won the most road games in a season this year since about 2009 i think the stat was.

Truth be told, some on this board had us losing out to finish the season, while others were putting stock into Vegas' original over under line on wins. We finished strong, and I will not take that away from these Canes. A blocked kicked, botched TD call, and a botched fumble recovery from Carter is the difference between a possible 11-1 campaign. I'm still bitter about our recruiting right now, but I won't take away from how this team responded w/ a bunch of freshmen and guys who are boarder line Miami caliber players to finish the season.

The only team that scored over 30 on nc state is louisville. Held clemson and fsu to 24.

^^^Exactly. The Debbie Downer squad was predicting a 4-8 finish and saying things like "Vegas was right to put the over/under at 6.5". Was everything perfect and flawlessly executed? No but the changes in game plan and personnel were evident. It's not like the teams they struggled against during the losing streak had incredible defenses, they just played better offense the last 4 games of the year.

Ask Houston Nutt. He was told by Broyles to hire Gus as OC to get the Springdale kids.

He wasn't stripped. He stepped down to let BoBo shine so BoBo could get a good job elsewhere,

Georgia just didn't let Richt get the controls back when he wanted to get back in the mix again.

The notion that he was stripped makes him sound weak and a bit farfetched.

That is such revisionist garbage. Pitt is a **** good team. They beat Penn St and Clemson. we throttled them. NC st despite their record are good and very talented and it was a road game. UVA does suck and Duke is decent nothing more but Pitt win especially was helluva impressive.

That's not true, NC State should have beaten Clemson,UVA gave L'Ville a fit, Pitt beat both Penn St and Clemson and honestly Duke gave L'Ville a good game for the most part.

Duke and NC st beat UNC also, we are literally 3 or 4 plays going differently from being 11-1

The same ncstate team that should have beat clemson and fsu too. Also Louisville had to score a touchdowns with seconds left to beat uva in which uva was winning the whole game... and duke who beat notre dame and UNC two teams we couldn't beat and also played Louisville close
