Why do kids transfer to STA exactly? I'm sure winning states every year is the main thing and it probably helps the under the radar kids get some offers. Is the coaching better? The player development better? Or Is it the cool thing to do and go play with all of your 7on7 buddies? like you said the Name STA recruits itself and maybe they just want to say they play at STA.

Sometimes they wanna be surrounded by better players.
Sometimes they think they'll get better offers by being at STA. I've never seen that happen with one of my kids though. The last kid we lost to STA got his best offer with us. (UF)
Sometimes they wanna win.
Sometimes they think they'll get better coaching.

There can be a handful of different reasons and in some occasions it may be true. I don't blame some kinds for transferring, particularly if they're at a program that's in shambles. What boggles my mind is when a kid leaves a team that's coached well and is winning. (which I won't get into because then I'll start venting lol)

I'm not sure about now, but in the past they were definitely coached better than most programs and overall they had their ducks in a row when it came to running a program.

When I played pop warner in south Florida getting a scholarship from St Thomas as the Ultimate goal for everybody.

he was the hottest optomist recruit in broward. He's already committed to cincinnati. Jezus christ what are they trying to do?...lol

So something happened and the safety might not come anymore BUT theirs a DB from Miramar that might come instead.

That's so lame if true. It isn't like this guy plays for some crap team. It still wouldn't justify it in my mind if his team sucked, but it would be more understandable.

Such a ****** way to build a program. What happens to the kids that have devoted 2+ years of their life to the team/school? They get replaced by the 4/5 stars that are recruited from other high schools?

How 'bout stay your ***'n a$$ out of teenage kid's living rooms and learn how to win with the players you have. (or the ones that come to you)

Coach'em up...so you don't get your a$$ handed to you when you face a team with comparable talent.

This. D$ told me Bryan transferred while I was out. Stupid move.


Keep an eye for AH to go after a RB I've mentioned before from plantation. 2018 RB Jordan Johnson. Was all Broward first team, kid is legit.

****, some parent must have cut the check. I know that in the better Miami-Dade private schools, a kid wouldn't pay more than $1K. Usually it's paid for by a parent of another player.
