St. Louis (Hawaii) vs STA

You are right, players do want to win, but more importantly, they want to know if a coach can get them to the next level, that's how butch davis was able to get guys when the program was trash, he was certified and guys knew enuff to know if jimmy johnson had him on his staff, that **** must know what he's doing. That's why its comical when people bash shannon, when it can be said to many degrees that coach shannon is from the jimmy johnson and butch davis coaching tree, as well as being his own coach who primarily was the one who set the tone at UM of players watching game film. We dont need bandwagon recruits coming to UM because we winning, we need the recruits that come in because they want to do what it takes to be Champions at UM. The key ingredient is having a headcoach who can galvanize and inspire these guys to Greatness by playing as one team. Real headcoaches wil, solve that problem, coach richt would've solved it, coach diaz created a problem and loss credibility by the way he handled the jw15 and transfer tate situations, and most importantly how he handled perry who the team luv's, the man is only the the qb on the team with the most wins and least amount of losses. If we want to be like everybody else, than just keep hiring these coaches that dont have no clue about what UM football is about, but if we want to be UM Great, the links to Greatness have to be there.
Yea you’re right. My issue with Diaz is that we made the same mistake as we did with Shannon. Hire a 1st time head coach. Shannon has his issues with the QB situation as well. His handling of the Jacory and Maeve situation was mind blowing. Although I do believe Jacory was better, RS oversigned qbs in 08, brought no kids in during the 09 season (AJ had been rumored to convert to DB), and allowed the other two QBs to transfer before the 09 season. However he was a 1st time HC. Manny is learning on the go as well, at UM we don’t have time to teach you how to be a HC.
As far as the QB situation, I thought JW had what it took to be a star QB but his limitations are really obvious. I wasn’t that big on Perry when I saw him play last year. He was extremely accurate going short but anything beyond 15 was ugly. As for Tate, you can read the football board to get my opinion. The young man has a history of talking tough but college FBS p5 ball has been a humbling experience for him.

The thing with perry is simple, in every game he's played in, we had a chance to win, with jw15, he's weak mentally and a sideways backstabber, doesnt support his teammates and was never Truly all in like perry has been. Come next year, coach diaz gone have to stop being fake with these qb's and stop running a crybaby monestary, and start starting players that the team can respect, until jw15 gets that selfish mentality out of him, start perry, or matocha or even van dyke if its close, i'd move on from jw15 because of his mentality alone, you wanna leave, bye bye!

Hahaa I skimmed a little. Hey the way the coaches run this team, keep us with a lot on our mind haha.
I get sucked in to reading his posts but then I see all of the words and not many breaks for paragraphs and I usually end up skimming down to the end to see if he ends it in a “!” - which 90% of the time he does.

Would have liked to see St. Thomas play Marietta.

Marietta probaby beats them.

St Thomas has a young kid at QB so that goes either way...plus their hc typically runs a dan enos offense lmao.

It would probably be a good game though.

St thomas has went out west and beat 2 power house programs this year in De La Salle and this team.

They won the State Championship and beat the same team St Thomas did by much more. Grayson and Lowndes would beat St Thomas as well.

Yea it probably doesnt work like that....

I just realized that they lost to Grayson and Lowndes....Yea that Marietta team would have a real dfficulty with STA. If that game is/was played in Fla ill probably take STA.

sh*t i aint realize Grayson beat them by 2 tds. Edgewater played their hearts out for that lost....and aint no one keeping sta under 28 points this year. St Thomas is comparable to Grayson if not better, they had trouble protecting their qb with Grayson's 3 man front and threw 4 int's. THEY ARENT BLOCKING ST THOMAS'S FRONT. Against even match ups it appears they lost. I couldnt bet on them against STA now that i did my research. Would be a good *** game though, talent everywhere.

I coach in Ga very familiar with these programs. Not buying Lowndes and Grayson Drew. Marietta will pose the best challenge. And beating Edgewater in Marietta in the regular season vs beating Edgewater for the ship is two different beasts. STA looked strong last night big-time program.

Yea STA is the 1 south florida program that can literally wear you down with their fronts on both sides of the ball.
STA began looking much better at the end of the year when the soph qb gained more experience and they werent holding him back. THEN....on offense they found ANOTHER rb in Hankerson. They basically have 3 div 1 level rbs....as the 3rd string or 4th string back signed with UCONN on Early signing day.
At wr.....Rosemy pretty much has his way at some points in a game with a bomb or 2.

That Edgewater team would have played Marietta different at the end of the year i was truly impressed with them as that rb Connely was a dog foreal.

Here’s the thing, friend. I hate the South Florida **** recruits and their ****** pimp families who are KKK groupies and troll my alma mater or don’t give us the time of day.

If they don’t want to come here then that’s their choice. Fck em though. I’m a UM guy, not a South Florida HS football honk. It’s the clowns who worship at the altar of these dyckheads who cause them to think they **** roses.

I ain’t gonna sit here and suck off a bunch a shytbags from a mercenary local HS like STA that’s sending all its best players to KKK hotbeds. **** STA and all their KKK groupie players and families.

Amen!
**** those Broward Bytches and Miami Hoes who turn their back on the home-town school.

2 years ago. Not the same team.

Lol...you the one said it. Guess you aint no STA already climbed that mountain

What you want them to play every year?. They had their chance...and LOST. Alot of those same players ARE on the same St John Bosco team including that QB.

Im only saying Bosco because they beat Mater Dei.

If Mater Dei would have finished undefeated, I would have loved to see the 2 play. Hopefully STA and either Bosco or Mater Dei play next year. Would love to see STA schedule IMG also

IMG isnt a real team. I mean its basically a prep school.

STA plays enough out of state teams. **** they werent even sure they would make this game..and made it out their and handled business.

They appeared to have a hard time scoring against Mceahern and Grayson. That sh*t wouldnt be any easier against STA.

I only watched one of Marietta's games this year, but on occasion they decide to keep turning the ball over. I do think Harrison Bailey is overrated but his receivers are not. McEachern and Grayson have a done of talent. If I am not mistaken McEachern is the number on school in Georgia with players on college rosters.

He is overrated. Prone to turning over the ball...and if played against STA would be going against the best DL he's seen...will = Turnovers.

Those wrs looked real good i think all of them are headed div 1and the Gilbert kid is a freak. The isue is with a South Fla elite team...your skills ARENT going to be able to consistently beat them. Teams that can handle south florida elite's usually do it in the trenches...hence what the Baltimore team did to Central (they are small up front). Most south florida teams trout out 210-220 pound dt's and sh*t. St Thomas is the one team that will consistently be pretty big on the DLs and OLS.

**** what happened to Parkview...? They are no longer a powerhouse?.

Parkview had one fo their best years in a long time. They lost to Marietta and Lowndes, with the loss to Marietta coming in the semi-finals. The problem with Gwinnett schools is the growth keeps causing district lines to be redrawn and athletes tend to go to the newer schools. As much **** as I give south Florida schools about coaching pay, Gwinnett isn't exactly paying top dollars for coaches. Take Grayson for example, it seems like they have a new coach every year. The schools in Georgia with consistent coaching or single school districts, who can afford to pay coaches 100K+ a year. Buford, Rome, Cartersville, Colquitt County, Marietta, and Lowndes are some of the high paying jobs in the state and they are all single school districts. The issue with those districts is they don't have the recruiting pool that a school in Gwinnett has.

Yea but if you want to win the National Championship, got play the National Top Teams.

STA probably starts the season Top 5 next year. They played De La Salle this year who was trashed by Bosco. The Cali HS fans want to see STA play Mayer Dei or Bosco in Cali next year.

Dude they just ranked sta ..the #2 team right behind St John Bosco. The cali fans could want whatever they want....sta beat Dela Salle and the hawaii team THIS YEAR....they have beaten the team from Vegas as well before.
At this point im tired of them playing the out west teams...need them to go and throw their weight around the other regions.

Yep, high school national rankings are hilarious.

Don't disagree that many of these teams are very strong, but tons of teams are out there each year with very strong teams.

Chapman High AAA in Upstate SC had a VERY strong team this season and I think they were like 175 nationally
