Would prefer someone with more than 1 year of eligibility so we don’t lose both centers after this year, but this is a fine option

Be worth a scholly to replace??
It’s hard to say definitively without seeing who else enters, I’d lean No but we are desperate for depth. Coin flip, and tie probably leads to yes due to who’s the head huncho.

Going to see what film I can watch just in case we do put out an official offer. I could also see him look for a starting job elsewhere like DMoney mentioned, and if he doesn’t get it, he can always come home as a depth piece / get his degree.

Maybe that’s more indictment on denis my friend…

Regardless

A depth guy at GSU who is listed at 6’0 274 (so he probably isn’t even 6’) has no business getting a scholarship here. We have a million “center types” on this roster already who are bigger than this kid. You took 2 transfers last off season from Oregon that are squatty types that you need to teach to play center + Rodriguez. We need to get AWAY from these types, not add more.

If he is coming as a walk on then hey sure, but no scholarship. Absolutely tf not.

You’re right, but I do expect at least 1, most likely 2 of the “squatty types” to say ✌️

If Denis is still injured or hitting the portal, I'd honestly rather run with Tripp. Or move Big Baby over assuming he's not transferring out. Or bring Randy Shannon's son out of retirement. ... Optics of giving a scholarship to coach's son are just all wrong.
