Just a super unbelievable scenario for a talent to be on same hs team as a once in 10 year prospect like Smith to overshadow him. JoJo was a no doubt top 100 prospect, it just so happens Smith was literally the number 1 guy.

IIRC wasn’t the TVD to Bama thing really really late in the process? Not sure if that played in but may have been a bit of a scramble where maybe it would have been different if it was pre winter portal

Yeah it was mid April right after the spring game but before the spring portal opened. It would have been a scramble but there would have been enough to convince either Pratt or Tualia to enter since both had strong ties to south florida.
