That competition will go well into next season. Also take these still shots with a grain of salt. Spring is the time you get everyone reps and cross train. People will freak when Kinsler is at RT and Francis is at LG etc.
This isn't my first rodeo lol, I understand that it's only day one. I was simply pointing it out. However, Rodriquez did start before he got hurt, so it wouldn't be the most shocking thing in the world if he started

Yeah this was a general statement not so much directed at you. We can all freak out if Trader lines up at DE or something. lol

I'm not lol, this isn't my first rodeo. However, people on here forget he started in 2024 before he got hurt, so it's not that surprising he lined up there day one. I like McCoy in that battle though

IMO the OL is the exact same situation as last season. The only real discussion will be at LG, just like last year.

There's always a chance someone makes a massive leap (Samson? That you?), but I think at this point LT, C, RG, and RT have a HEAVY favorite to start. So, who plays LG is probably the only question we need to answer between now and September.

FYI, this is a VERY good thing. A lot to be desired through 3 years with Mario. His promise to fix the OL is certainly not one of them. We're going to be good there this year, again. And we're going to be good there forever.

I'm not sure it is a discussion. It's McCoy. The only reason RR got a start against UF was because McCoy was hurt. Will we rotate RR in at LG? Of course, but to me, McCoy is the starter.

I disagree. I don't think McCoy is so much better than anyone else on the roster right now that you'd put him as a chalk heavy favorite to win the job. He might. But I think he'll be pushed, whereas I don't think the other 4 are going to get much push from now until Notre Dame.

If you think McCoy is going to start, that's cool. I won't disagree with that. But saying it's not even a discussion like for example Mauigoa being the RT isn't a discussion, or Cooper being the RG isn't a discussion....simply untrue.
