Spring Game - who are you looking forward to seeing?

Walter Tucker is another name that intrigues me - curious to see him in action.

Bush - u got to see if he's back, he looks elite in some highlights. Gus - would be nice to have another player take pressure off our new qb.

AQM aka "I told you I was gonna kick yo fvkin @zz!" - would love to hear him mic'd up during games this year
Bush - I wanna see him become what we thought he would be after seeing him as a freshman

See where they are in their recovery: Bush/Malcolm

..in their development: Olsen/Carter

..in their leadership: Howard/Dorsett

and wanna see how vocal of a leader Figs is on defense. Heard he's been the vocal leader throughout the spring.

Tons of things to look for.

Keeping in mind it is April and...
1) Shane McDermont, Duke Johnson, Clive Walford, Rashawn Jenkins, Ladarius Gunter, Olsen Pierre won't be playing but will be starting/playing a lot in the Fall.
2) Joe Yearby, Chad Thomas, Michael Wyche, Anthony Moten, Braxton Berrios have yet to actually practice yet and will presumably/hopefully play in the Fall.

The offense will need Olsen, Gadbois, Edwards, Scott to step up this year. On defense Kamalu, Carter, Burns, Kirby, Fig. So I'll be watching them.

Offense: malcom lewis and gus edwards
Defense: jermain grace and jamal carter

For me it's gotta be Olsen.. Really hoping he takes control.. On defense it's the entire Lb unit.

Heurtelou as stated by a few others already. If he can function along with anybody else at DT this fall I have again drank the annual kool-aid and convinced myself The Canes will return to national relevance (whatever each of us may claim that to be).

Will be fun to see Coley, Kirby, Carter, Baby Jesus, AQM etc. etc. etc in action but it's just a spring game/glorified scrimmage........September cannot arrive soon enough. Even the negative Nancy's around here have to agree I'd think that there is at least a buzz/infusion of young talent you're excited to see what they can do when the lights are on

Money Malc, Gus the Bus, Baby Jesus.

Heurtelou, Grace, Carter, and Crawford.

The D line.

If the D line gets penetration on pass plays, and push, or at the bare minimum, doesn't get pushed 5-10 yards into the linebackers, then our defense has a chance to be dramatically improved.

Need to see AQM/McCord be able to set the edge against the run.
Last year they were driven 10 yards into the OLB on run plays.

If our D Line can stand firm, then our athletic, fast linebackers and safeties are going to wreak havoc this year.

It's really not who I want too see , its more what I want too see and I want too see the defense communicate with one another. I want to see the secondary on the same page. I want to see the edges sealed. Dline get pressure. And also can we tackle someone. Offense I expect it to be a lil dysfunctional because it's harder for a qb to get timing down in a week. But I want too see Olsen take over in front of a big crowd, when the lights are on and show us why we call him baby Jesus. Also I don't expect big plays but just consistency and getting 5 yds, 8yds ,12 yds. Pretty much a west coast offense and build some rapport with Olsen. I'm excited overall.

I want to see how the front 7 performs. I know it will be vanilla, but I want to see communication & fire & some **** talking

Olsen and whoever is playing DT. Those are what we have been missing and what matter. Everything else will fall into place.

The entire defends........I hope they look awesome n lights out. When defense dominates a spring game its a good tthing. Shut I would be stoker if we held the O to like 17 points because that's big n it wont mean the O is bad.

Its not a spring game. They giving us a glorified practice which is why I won't be taking the 3 hr drive. I just pray for a injury free session. I'll be tuned in on ESPN3 tho. I'm just ready for the season
