"John Campbell gets a lot of mentions as well as someone who is way ahead of schedule, as many thought he’d be a project coming into Miami. "

We seem to recruit for the most part adequate players that can be coached well in all the positions except the O-line. What gives?

Let Williams play and just keep it simple. Lean on the running game and defense early. You can't teach accuracy.

Lol...The last three years we've ranked 118th, 101st, and 79th running the football. We saw marginal improvement last season as a direct result of 468 yards coming from the QB. Take that away and we were 115th. There's a reason why we had to rely on an inaccurate passer to throw the ball 40 times a game you know? Don't think for a second we're going to be able to bring in some greenhorn and just ask him to hand the ball off. Unless we get significantly better along the o-line, we're going to have to throw the ball, a lot.

He may have been a little off with the "leaning on the running game" comment, but still not a bad idea. Just being accurate with the bubble screens, quick outs and slants would be big for our offense. Not just completing them (which we didn't always do), but we left SOOOO much yac on the field last year w/ Malik. Plus by all accounts Williams is a smart kid and quick study...that playbook would open more and more as the season goes on.

Nah...I think big Vaughn to RT benefits the run more than the pass at this stage and the coaches are gonna lean on that no matter who's the QB.
As bad as Malik could be at times the lack of a running game hurt the offense more than anything last season.
