Sports Illustrated, Matthew Thomas

I don't see end. He's too good standing up. I don't see a pure SAM, either.

It would be a waste to pigeonhole him into one position. His greatness is his versatility. He should be used all over the place.

Ya kid is very versatile....I'm thinking he is a SAM though...Kid is fluid as **** in space...long arms..he actually likes to cover and has hands...hate to compare him to arival school player but kid could be a better version of this guy

Interesting. That dude could fly.

When I saw Thomas against MNW, he played ILB, down DE, standup DE, DT (stunting), and covered the slot. He can cover just as well as he can rush, and he can play a traditional LB as well. Unique player.

A year ago I said Aldon Smith. The board laughed not knowing who he was, thinking MT was better. Funny how things turn out.

Yeah I mean unlike some hybrid players we have(McCord, Hoilett, and Terry) you aren't going be taking out Big 6 when he's asked to cover or do something else than just rush.

/Terry might have the same athleticism like Thomas but he was mainly a pass rusher last season so that's why I added him to the list.

Looks like he has a ridiculous wingspan. Fluid athlete who's still growing into his body. Eddie Johnson may be a board favorite, but if he doesn't behave, he may get Wally Pipp'd.

Walked by my tailgate yesterday with his family (he was being honored at the stadium- player of the week) and yes he's extremely long; could probably put on 25lbs without changing his waste or jacket size... easy weight. He actually looks more Bball player than Football right now; probably a freakish 4 at BTW.

How big was Jevon Kearse coming into UF? I'll go as far as saying I don't know how he stays at OLB, unless he's 260lb hybrid ala Jarvis Jones, who I consider more end than LB even though I see the roster and NFL projections say otherwise.

Jarvis Jones is like 245. Von Miller is/was under 240. You don't need to look like Clay Matthews to be one of these hybrid rushers.
