spoke to someone who speaks frequently with the Booker T Coaches and they say that he still has Miami high on his list and that FSU isn't leading by as much as people think. TIFWIW, IMO I think this kid's recruitment will be identical to Tracy Howard's he will have a new leader every month, but in the end the thought of playing close to home and with friends (Denver Kirkland & Eduardo Clements) is too much to pass up.

I'm sure it doesn't help that we haven't won crap in forever and we have sanctions hanging over our head.

If we come out and win some games, and at least get an NOA, I'll bet we start stacking up better with kids like this.

Remember the days of "Coker can't close?" he lost out on close recruiting battles again and again. Then we got randy who won a few his first year or two and we all thought we had a closer finally. Then the wheels fell off of that family truckster.

Yeah Randy was a maddening recruiter. I got the impression that if he really wanted someone, he could seal the deal but he refused to play the game. I dunno, he was just a much different type of guy than Golden. Not saying good or bad, but just completely different approaches.

His brother is attending Tallahassee CC. That's the reason for the trip. He took advantage and toured the FSU campus and watched practice.

So many reasons for this kid to be a Cane. I can't see any other way. We do need to win some games though. I think we will.

The OP is consistent with what Peter has been saying, so this is one we'll have to ride out.

Neither has FSU though, they've been irrelevant for nearly as long as us.
