spoke to a friend today who played at Miami in early 2000s.

wouldn't mind Butch back. He has an eye for talent, but wasn't that great of a game day coach.

Aren't we currently evaluating our current coach based off the same ideas.
- one coach accumulates talent, can't coach and left his last job because of NCAA trouble
- one coach is in the process of accumulating talent, can't coach and stuck with Miami through NCAA trouble.

Of course we would fire one for the other.

Here is the biggest difference. Butch understands he needs a good staff and gets one. He also develops underrated talent into studs. We all know Butch was building a monster at UNC and the timing of their scandal could not have been worse as that team was very good.

Golden has Dnofrio (do I need to say more) and the rest of the staff has a lot to prove imo. He has not shown to be a great talent evaluator as the only underrated player who has turned into something at this point is Denzel Perryman. Everyone else who is decent on this squad was generally a 4 or 5 star. Also the talent we do have is questionable if they have actually gotten better since they've been here. What Golden does excel at is closing on some big name recruits. Golden is definitely one of the better recruiters I've seen as far as pulling in big names.

Golden couldn't keep Bridgewater committed what an ignorant remark as Teddy dropped as soon as Randy was let go and never gave Al a chance.

You don't know that AL went after brissett and he couldn't even beat out that trash of a qb UF has now

I knew Andy Atrio. No one ever cares what I have to say.

He was on the team in the mid 90s, why on Earth would that be relevant? Also dont really remember if he ever actually played a snap. Wasnt he a walk on?

It's as relevant as the original post...not relevant at all. He was on the mid 90s teams, and he was a walk on, but he did play some. He even caught a pass against VT in 1996. I've heard the story 193 times.

Since we're name dropping... I worked with Dallas Crawford (Steve Crawford) and Chase Ford's (Steve Ford) dads. I grew up and went to school (MS) with PBuch. Other notable names Noel Devine, Jevon Kearse. **** I even know Deion Sanders and Ernest Graham. I have nothing interesting to say from any of them though lol.

You try way too fuggin hard.

I would only be assuming Golden left for PSU, not fired. I don't think Golden is getting fired with as much time on the contract that is left.

If you gotta prove yourself to an internet forum crowd that makes any of your claims very questionable. Hey say it twice then we would have to believe you.

BTW...I know Bill Gates, I manage his financial accounts. I also know President Obama, he calls me to get my advice about international affairs. I also know the janitor at Macy's, he calls to ask me about how to best clean the toilets...I swear this is all true

butch beat fsu in 2000 when we werent suppose to have a shot. he knocked off an undefeated ucla.
coker wasnt a great coordinator to me but they assembled great talent to the level it was hard to lose.
